Guest access
Cow Track Ranch is a fully operational beef cattle ranch, spanning 500 acres of rolling hills, and is home to free-range chickens and horses. We have two friendly Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs, Chloe and Willow who roam freely and delight in accompanying guests on strolls, particularly relishing attention. The ranch provides a peaceful and serene environment with the sounds of nature. As a haven for numerous bird species and wildlife, the ranch offers various vantage points to take in the views and witness breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.

Guests are welcome to stroll around the barnyard during their stay. For a lovely 1/4-mile sunset walk, access the guest gate located on the left side of the cattle-guard. To keep both our guests and livestock safe, access to the rest of this working ranch is restricted.

Other things to note
Please review driving directions before arrival and share them with guests arriving separately.

Arrival & Location
• Reached via a 1.25-mile unpaved road (20 min from town). Drive slowly on the shared driveway (10MPH) and yield to neighbor/ranch trucks. 5MPH by houses/barns.
• Park only in your accommodation's designated spot to avoid disturbing other guests (there are 4 homes on the property)
• Cell coverage works for most carriers (except T-Mobile)

Planning & Amenities
• Utilities: Water comes from a natural spring, so please practice mindful water use.
• Power Outages: weather-related outages can occur. Water and stove run on propane, lanterns are provided, and a backup generator is available upon request if healthcare needs require.

Ranch Life
• Expect authentic country living (including local wildlife and insects). Please keep doors shut to keep critters outside (screen doors are provided). Note: Some windows lack screens as local birds harvest them for nesting!

• Livestock Awareness: Keep a safe distance from cattle, horses, and machinery. Never enter pastures, pens, or gated animal areas without host permission, and always ensure patio gates are securely closed behind you.
• Driveway & Speed Limits: drive slowly (5mph near barns and homes) to protect loose animals, children and other guests and reduce dust.

Ranch Environment
• Homes on the Property: our home, a tenant residence, and one other guest rental are located on the ranch.
