My house was revovated with much love. There is no traffic in front of. The smell of fish and sea and the screams of the seagulls make this place to something special.
The guests have access to the basement where are the kitchen and dinningroom and another bathroom with a washingmaschine.
Interaction with Guests
The guests can ask me allways for help. I'm Yogateacher so I offer clases of yoga in my house. If there is interes I offer also bereakfast, lunch or dinner if it's possible for me and my time alowed it.
The environs of houses and places here of the old times is very nice. There is a big offer of very good restaurants, taperías, coffees with terrace and pubs and also shops with art dealers and others. The Old City have a really special atmosfere and on weekend it's full of young people and families from other parts of the city or from outside. My house is 5 minutes far from the biggest busstop of the city.
There are busses who will bring you to the beaches and two taxistations 5 min from here (Puerta del Sol, and Paseo Alfonso) The railway station is 20 min. far by feet. The car you have to park outside from the old city 5-7-min. from here in the habour area.
Other Things to Note
It's not allowed to park in the Old City but for to let the luggage you can enter of course. The only acces is from direction Puerta del Sol. There are some 50-60m up where you have to go down on the right where the road c/Elduayen bends to the left. Ride down go on straight (not down of all) rua do Perigos a short part and then you have to bend on the left at all to enter in the c/(Pobladores. Between the number 9 and 15 its where the Plaza Peñasco on the right, only acces by feet. Of course I say you where are parkingplaces 5-7min. by feet for free or near of the house some parking houses for paying.
I hope there is a minimum of respect speaking about noice and cleanless.
Super cozy apartment with friendly, creative energy. The bed was very comfortable and amenities were great also. We were able to take a taxi very near to the quiet plaza where the home is located. This part of town is very romantic with its tiny streets and plazas.
Christiane was a great host and very helpful! We were in and out so quickly in our one night stay, but she made us very comfortable in her home and was very kind.
We would definitely stay here again - it was an absolute pleasure.
Christiane is by far the most gracious and understanding host we have ever had through Airbnb. We had thought we had a reservation with someone else, as they accepted our reservation, but then informed us on the day we arrived, "Wait, I was saying in that email that the room won't fit you." Why they accepted, we don't know, but we had to have them cancel that when we arrived in Europe and waited for our connecting flight. We found Christiane's listing and asked if it would be possible to reserve for that night, and she said yes.
We are living in Vigo for several months, so while we are staying here we have been looking for an apartment. We've run into problems and have had to extend our stay through Christiane. She has been more than understanding. She even set us up with her realtor friend to help us find a place, and while we met she made us food and we even went out on the town together.
She is an awesome person. Very understanding, a great host, and lovely to talk to. She will not hesitate to help you with directions in the city or to suggest good places to go (or to live, in our case). I cannot say enough about how great of an experience it has been to stay with her, even though we are longer than expected or wanted to be.
Her house is very clean, it is in a good location near many cafes and bus lines, and the view outside of your room will be beautiful. It may be worth it for you, though, to pay a little extra to not have to share a bathroom with someone else, but it wasn't a huge problem for us.
Highly recommended and a great host. You will enjoy your stay here.
Thank you very much Matt, I think you are exagerating a little bit. True is that we are living in such a busy world where even less people have time for the other. I wo'nt enter in this rythm and in this kind to stay in life. We are here to help another, is'nt it? You twice are a wonderful couble and so never doupt that here still are living humans who stay whith you if you need something and I'm able to help of course. So, welcome to Galicia. I hope so much that you will do your best experience here in our beautiful part of the earth.
The location of this house is extremely difficult to find. It is located in the middle of a plaza which is not accessible by car. The host sent us TWO different addresses to enter into our GPS devices (all 3 of them) and we spent 1.5 hours getting lost trying to find her place. Even the local taxi drivers had no idea where it was. Upon finally arriving by grid searching the entire area the host accompanied us in our car to a public parking lot which consisted of a ridiculous amount of left and right turns into a parking lot that had prostitutes standing in it - not your ideal place to leave a rental car while traveling through europe. We were traveling in Spain with North American cell phones (wi fi access only) and had taken advantage of the book now feature on AirBnB and drove directly to her place once the address was emailed to us. Unlike most AirBnB hosts a phone number was not sent to us so we could not contact her while we were on the road without having to find a Wi Fi location, which we could not find in Vigo that evening. It was provided in the listings but most time the host will send it to you out of courtesy. In summary she did not have any compassion for the awkward situation we were faced with and told us several times that it was all our fault and we that we were in the wrong.
We would definitely not recommended other AirBnB guests to stay at this location based on the the way she treats her paying guests.
I still saying that you are wrong and it was your mistake not calling me, because the phone number you can see in the moment when you are booking. I'm really sorry that you made this experience but I think you where overtaxed with the difficuties of driving the car in our city. Sorry for you!
Habitación muy bien situada al lado del casco antiguo y muy cerca de la estación marítima. La casa tiene unas bonitas vistas al mar. Christiane nos recibió muy amablemente y tuvimos una estancia muy agradable.
It was Sofía, a friend of Christiane, who welcomed my boyfriend and I. She was quite flexible and friendly and open to give us all kind of informations! The house is very cosy and near the bay of Vigo, where you can take the ferryboat to Cíes; it is also in the old part of the city, more calm and less busy. Tapas in the city are a must! Definitely recommend the hosts and the location!

About the Host, Christiane
