The cabin is a fully equipped living idyll all year round where you live all by yourself. Private and very quiet location at Dämstasjön. Perfect getaway!
Enjoy the garden with its unique waterfall and the wood fired sauna. Walk to the swimming area and the boat. There is plenty of fishing waters, berry and mushroom fields, walking paths and often snow in winter.
On the farm there are sheep and you are warmly welcome to bring your pet.
Our ambition is for you to have a great time with us without having to bother you.

The space
The cabin is an older house with a genuine old fashioned charming cottage feel, while also being fresh and comfortable. A nice old residential house, garden with greenhouse and garden land, barbecue area and gazebo with dining area, own wood-fired sauna in the garden and a unique waterfall thanks to the river flowing by right next door. Walking distance to swimming area with sauna and boat. Nice walking paths all year round, plenty of fishing waters, berry and mushroom fields just outside the corner. In the winter you can fish and there is often snow in the winter with snowmobile trails that you reach from the farm.
In the pastures around the cabin, the sheep run all year round.
As hosts, we check on the sheep daily but you can hardly see us if you don't want to.
If you want to go on an excursion, the High Coast with Skule and Ulvön is only thirty minutes drive away.
The cabin has 2 bedrooms and a sleeping alcove upstairs as well as a sofa bed downstairs. Thorough cleaning is always included in the price, but during Covid-19, we apply an enhanced cleaning to avoid the spread of infection as much as possible.
Standard is five people, but there is the possibility of several extra beds at an extra cost of 200 SEK/person.
Cleaning is included in the price, if you want to rent sheets and towels you do so for SEK 150 per person.
Between September and May there is an electricity cost. However, the house has good heating systems (air heat pumps and three fireplaces, as well as electric radiators that rarely need to be used). You have free access to firewood.

During high season, ie. summer, Christmas and New Year, the cabin is rented out weekly, Sunday to Sunday. If you have any special requests for this period, please feel free to let me know!

The cottage is located at Dämstasjön, a lake embedded in hilly nature and small farms. The nearest town is Uusimaa, a mile away and a smaller airport is also nearby. Everything is, however, at a suitable distance so this is quiet and pleasant and the classic remorse manland forest with a rich wildlife is just outside the door. The universal right allows you to stay almost everywhere and allows you to pick both the berries and mushrooms you find in the forest.

I´m a positive person who has discovered that I really enjoy beeing a host for Torpet (the swedish word for "the croft") and the cottages in Hundsjön! My mission is to make your visit as nice as possible.
I live at a small farm in the same village as Torpet, with sheep, dogs, cats and a garden. You will find some of the sheep outside Torpet, in summertime in the fields and woods, in winter they are in and outside the barn.
You are always welcome to meet all of the animals - except for the cats, they do as they like and does not necessarily spend time with us humans =)
