We stayed 3 nights with Siye and had a great time. She helped us a lot! She arranged a pick up from the airport, she made sure we could go to the elephant centre and she and her friends cooked for us! I would really recommend a stay with Siye.
We had a fantastic experience with Siye in Nairobi. She is a lovely, kind and considerate person. We had a bit of a problem as our bags did not arrive with us on our flight. Siye really helped us out - lending us some clothes, helping us find a place to pick up some necessities, and being a point of communication with the airport to ensure the bags were delivered to the right address. When there was no water in Nairobi she arranged that we shower in an apartment across the road. The room we stayed in was comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty. We really liked the local ginger tea. We used Siyes driver for a day to see some sights in the city and visit the elephant and giraffe parks - we got a good price for this and later heard of tourists being hugely overcharged for this trip. Overall Siye went above and beyond to help us and we would highly recommend you stay here to experience Nairobi and meet a lovely African friend!
Siye is overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. The area is geographically compatible and is a stones throw away from the city's commercial bussiness district. She's also extremely knowledgeable about Nairobi and Kenya in general . I was also provided transport to almost everywhere I needed to go at a below average price. Is certainly one of the best listings for Nairobi.
Siye was very nice and made my friend and I feel very welcome. Despite the home being a bit crowded with other guests and people who live there, we felt that we had an adequate amount of privacy in our room. The space itself was fine for the price and considering the location, was worth the stay.
Very friendly and leaving you free to do what you want and/or interact with you.
Siye was an awesome host and very welcoming. Closest airbnb experience I have had to a hotel.
Siye is awesome. She is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about nairobi. Her place is located in a great location by YaYa center, which helps you get around the city and be confident that a taxi will know where to drop you off. Siye goes out of her way to welcome you. She invited us for tea and dinner one day, but unfortunately we were not able to attend. She walked us to public transportation so we would not feel overwhelmed. My advise for the future residents would be to take her up on her advise. She would have scheduled a taxi to pick us up, but I did it myself and over spent on the taxi and a phone at the airport. Her driver is incredibly nice and he even coordinated a safari for us. Bottom line me and my wife enjoyed our stay and we are extremely thankful of Siye.
About the Host, Siye
Hi. I'm Siye. I come from Ethiopia. I live in (and manage) this cozy 3 bedroom apartment centrally located in Nairobi. I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and hosting them. We are behind a major shopping center (Yaya Centre) for convenient grocery shopping and other needs. We are also located near main roads for bus travel. My maid and I make sure to keep the apartment very clean for a pleasant experience. I also cook the meals for my guests. I am skilled in cooking Ethiopian and Italian cuisines, but can adapt to your preferences. I look forward to meeting you :)
