A family owned property which is located in the heart of La Madera. The apartment has panoramic views of Zihuatanejo and is minutes away from La Madera and La Ropa beach. Surrounded by local restaurants and a 5 min walk from town this property boasts comfort and convenience.
The neighbourhood is very convenient and safe. The street has undergone a recent upgrade which means there are a lot of local businesses which are open. The area is great if you want a more authentic experience in Zihuatanejo.

I had an absolutely amazing experience staying here! Rosalba was the best hostess I could as for! I was also lucky enough to meet her sister Lupita, who showed me around. (Huge thank you again to both ladies!!) The apartment was perfect for my 6 night stay. Although it didn't have air conditioning hooked up, there were fans that helped circulate the air nicely. The only negative thing I can say about the place is, if you are unable to walk stairs, this isn't the place for you as it had many-- I personally loved them though, good exercise and added character to the place. It was also nice to be at the top of the building. I would definitely recommend staying here (and already have to my friends!) Also, while you are there, make sure to check out La Gula Restaurant! Great food and was awesome to wind down the day there, watching the sunset over the mountains with a cold beverage.
Great location and apartment. We enjoyed the private patio. The pool was very nice.
What a lovely time! The location is perfect -- 3-minute walk to beach or 3-minute walk to the middle of town. The apartment is lovely -- efficient and roomy enough for two people, impeccably clean with nice tile everywhere. The balcony faces the cool north with a view of the town, the pool, the mountains. The real treasure, though, is the people. Rosalba and her family (thank you Lupita!!) made our stay extraordinary. We were welcomed, informed and graciously hosted in every way.
Be advised there are steps to climb -- *lots* of steps. We got our exercise going to/from town and to/from the beach. This is one vacation where I actually came back in better shape than I left (and 5 pounds lighter). It is Mexico so expect low water pressure and limited hot water.
The kitchen is limited, but has the basics. We were able to prepare fresh meals from what we bought at the nearby market. La Gula restaurant is on the second level and there are many, many choices nearby.
I have only been home for 48 hours and I'm already scheming on when I can make my next visit!
Rosalba was a gracious host. She met us right outside the premises to make sure we made it from the airport alright. The studio apartment was perfect for us (my boyfriend and I). It had the necessities with a nice kitchen, bathroom, queen size bed and small balcony that overlooked the rest of the grounds and the town. Heading out the back entry it is a five minute walk to the beach, it is in Playa La Madera (which is our favorite). Heading out the front entry places you on a road with quite a few restaurants (we really like Las Adelitas) and a foot bridge to get across the canal to the city.
We absolutely fell in love with Zihua. Beautiful place and people.
Rosalba was an amazing host. Her apartment is in a great location in Zihua - right between the town and the best beach (Playa del Ropa). The apartment overlooks the town and is clean and had everything we needed, including two fans. Rosalba gave us some great tips for places to go in the area. There is a pool below the apartment which is great to cool down in at the end of a warm day. The town centre of Zihua is only a short walk from the apartment and there are heaps of great (and cheap) places to eat. Playa del Ropa is 10 minutes walk and there are excellent bars/restaurants on the beach to hang out at all day, eat great food and drink cocktails (while occasionally cooling off in the Pacific). We would recommend staying at Rosalba's if you want the best of both the beach and the town of Zihua.

My family has lived in Zihuatanejo for 50 years. I own and manage a restaurant called La Gula with my husband who is a local chef. I am passionate about this town which has a lot to offer people who are looking for a break from their busy lives.
