Enjoy peaceful lofted bliss in SE Wyoming, between Guernsey & Hartville, adjacent to the Guernsey State Park! With convenient I-25 access, this large acreage is the perfect private setting just 3 miles from Guernsey. Plenty of trails to explore along with ATV, horse trailer, boat & camper parking. Bring the family to visit Oregon Trail Ruts, Register Cliff, historic Fort Laramie or enjoy boating at the nearby state park! We also host hunters and those in the area for short or long-term work.
The space
Welcome to Cedar Lights Retreat! This expansive 750 square foot totally private loft features its own heat and a/c, an amazing queen size Tempur-Pedic bed, full bath with corner shower/whirlpool tub and kitchenette. A single daybed sits nearby in a partitioned "bedroom." A new, comfy sofa easily transitions to a double bed. The loft sits above our garage and is secured from the rest of the home. We are happy to assess NO cleaning fee and offer a 1 PM checkout if we have no guests arriving the day you depart! Step out of your cozy, private space into 440 acres of pine and cedar covered hills with rocky outcroppings and meadows. Enjoy breakfast on your very own deck, s'mores by the campfire, a picnic at the grill and private hot tub under the stars! Our high desert climate's cool nights offer phenomenal hot tub weather and a breathtaking starscape!!

Our geographical location: 3.5 hours from Rapid City, SD, 3 hours from Denver, CO, 1.5 hours NE of Cheyenne, WY, 1.25 hours W of Scottsbluff, NE, 1.75 hours SE of Casper, 25 miles East of Wheatland, WY.
Other things to note
Cedar Lights lofted suite rental includes use of your very own propane campfire ring, private 7-person outdoor hot tub, grilling area and Continental BREAKFAST! We offer optional s'more kits with plenty for the whole family! Simply request this and the ooey-gooey goodness will be awaiting you in the loft ($15 fee). Tesla charging available upon request ($7/day). We are happy to accommodate pets for a $20/pet/night fee. We just ask that they be kenneled if left unattended in the loft at all. Cell phone reception is available but spotty. (Our home requires a booster if we are not on Wi-Fi). We are excited to announce that we now have Starlink Wifi. You can now Wi-Fi call or use the internet at speeds of 50 mbps or more. Feel free to make use of it or take the opportunity to unplug! We also have a selection of Blu-Rays in the suite and plenty of new board games are on hand, too. Outside, you are free to explore! We have vast trails to traverse, exhilarating hills for mountain biking and even tepee rings to find. Our horses, dogs and cats roam the property. Deer and wild turkey abound!

At its highest point our property borders the beautiful Guernsey State Park. Enjoy swimming, hiking and incredible star gazing! Located just minutes from the famous Oregon Trail Ruts and Register Cliff in Guernsey. Bring a tube and float the nearby North Platte River! Historic Fort Laramie is down the road. Stay awhile to experience the wild west as it was traversed and settled by early American pioneers. Experience our uncrowded Wyoming lakes with incredible BOATING right nearby! Visit Guernsey Lake at the State Park: 5 miles away, Glendo Reservoir: 40 miles, Gray Rocks: 20 miles or Wheatland Reservoir: 35 miles. Planning a HUNT? We are located in or near antelope areas: 103, 11 and 34, deer: 15 and 64, elk: 3 and 7. I am happy to answer any further questions you may have or help you plan a trip to our area!
