Trastevere train station, at 5 mins distance, leads you directly here from regional and national locations.
Our luxury car driving service connects you with Fiumicino airport, Ciampino airport and central railway station (Stazione Termini) fastly, comfortably and at public taxi rates.
Regarding the prices of my houses, me and so many guests deem they are fair, correct and convenient for their level of comfort and their super central position (please see the enthusiastic reviews).
In Rome it is easy to find a place which is supercheap, but in the end might be disappointing. Be careful about budget accomodations! Some surprises might spoil your holidays!
I'm waiting for you,
Lovely modern studio apartment in a great location. Sergio was flexible as our flight was delayed and answered any of our questions.
Sergio was a very nice host. He instructed us about several issues inside of the flat and informed us about all the important places nearby. The appartment itself was nice and cozy. There were some sounds of dripping water during the night. But it did not bothered us much. The best thing that we liked about our stay is that the appartment was very suitably located - close to the station, metro, shopping street. As it was in the center of Rome, we spent just about 15-20 minutes walking to get to the main sights - Coleseo, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Venezia and others. I would deffinately recommend this appartment if you want to go to Rome. Thanks, Sergio!
I do thank you for your stay. I thank you also for your kind words on the house and I appreciate you loved it and loved Rome. To clarify, the water noise was simply the heating system starting. And 10 mins distance is to Fontana di Trevi, not surely to Colosseum (3 mins) or Piazza Venezia (5 mins). But the most important thing is that when you go to the main attractions, you cross the Great Beauty of Rome, so walking is full of wonders.
I wait for your comeback soon.
Grazie mille, Anna!
We had a good stay at this apartment in Jan 2013. The location could not be better. It is placed right on Campo dé Fiori which provides a beautiful square with a market and restaurants right outside your door. You are then only 2 minutes walk to Piazza Navona.
The area is right in the middle of the city which provides easy walking to the Southern attractions (Colloseum etc) as well as those Northern (Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps etc etc). The neighbourhood feels very comfortable without being touristy.
Things to know...
1 - The host is renting the apartment with the bedrooms available separately. Be careful when booking as it may default to a Private Room booking. If you book it as a Private Room you may end up staying in this smallish apartment with others that you do not know in the other bedroom.
2 - If you have only booked one room you will not be able to access the whole apartment. The other bedroom will be locked off.
3 - The host suggested taking a taxi in from the airport instead of training to Termini. This is a reasonable option, however... If you are taking a taxi please do yourself a favour and show the driver a map of where you want him to take you. Insist that that the driver look at it. This apartment is located on 'Vicolo Del Gallo' which is a tiny 1 block street. There is also a far larger street in Rome named 'Monte Del Gallo' located up above Vatican City. We learned this the hard way on the way in from the airport as the driver dropped us on 'Monte Del Gallo'. The next cab that we tried to take again tried to take us to 'Monte Del Gallo' despite being shown our map and casually looking at it before brushing us off. Ensure that your driver is essentially dropping you in Campo dé Fiore. Even if you're dropped there you'll be ok to find the place. "Monte Del Gallo" is miles away. This is not the host's fault in the least. Just something that you should be aware of if travelling to this particular street for the first time.
Enjoy your time in Rome. This apartment is certainly worth considering. Strong Wi-Fi. Great heating/cooling throughout. Incredible location.
I do thank you for your stay and wait your comeback soon.
I thank you also for your kind words on the house and I appreciate you loved it and loved the Eternal City.
I confirm this lovely house has 2 bedrooms, and it can be rented fully as entire apartment or as private rooms. Its price depends right on the rooms you reserve (1 or 2).
Anyway, to prevent misunderstandings, I'll upload soon one more listing of the same house in entire apt. only option.
I am sorry for your adventure with taxi driver. Transport in Rome is not our best point, so I still strongly suggest taxi, because bus or train are even worse. It is important that you provide the driver with the exact address. For a better comfort, blocked rate and more accuracy, I suggest my guests a private transport company, surely better than taxi. All of you receive at the reservation confirmation all info for reserving it, if you deem.
Grazie mille Geoff!
My flight to Rome was cancelled so I was unable to stay at his place!
Sergio was a very nice host. He contacted me earlier and gave some info about how to reach the flat from the airport. He was also very quick to respond any questions I might have.
The flat is very conveniently located. Close to Cavour Metro Station and The Coliseum. It also has a supermarket right next to it. It is small, but for two people it was fine. Four people may find it a bit small. However, I was pleased with it and would rent it again if I travel to Rome.
Still about a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum so not as close as we thought, but still a good location. Sergio ' s agent was quite late to meet us & we coild only leave a message for Sergio, but that was due to some emergency (which can't be helped, although that was our experience). It was probably roomy by Roman standards but pretty tight if you are used to living in more space. A clean kettle &;some more cooking equipment would make the stay even better.
this apartment is ideally located next to campo de fiori, it's really quiet from outside noise and it's spotless clean. On the down side, the apartment is pretty dark but it was ok to us as we spent our time outside. Another thing, the bathroom hot water tank is just good for two showers so better not stay too long under it.
the apartment location gives access to excellent breakfast and pizza place, we had a great time in Rome
Dear King-Wah, thanks for your stay. Thanks also for your comments. Until now, nobody had considered the apt. being dark. Probably this is due to the Winter period of scarce daylight when you stayed home or to your activity hours. Also the showers are comfortable and warm.
See you soon!
