Interaction with Guests
We're often out of town when the apartment is available. But we're an email or phone call away for any questions or recommendations. Never hesitate to call/text/email.
We're located on one of the most beautiful, tranquil streets in Venice, very close to all the attractions, but quietly tucked away. Within half a mile from our house you'll find the finest restaurants in LA, the most amazing boutique shops and even the Electric Lodge, a thriving cultural/arts center.
We offer two bicycles for free use when you rent our place. We're also close to bus lines that can take you to Santa Monica, the airport or downtown LA.
Other Things to Note
First Friday of every month is food truck day on Abbot Kinney. All the shops stay open late, and hundreds of people come from all over to enjoy the great variety of food and entertainment.
We've worked hard to create a "home away from home" for you at a fraction of what a simple hotel room in the area would cost. Please treat it accordingly and don't leave a terrible impression after yourself.
YOU WILL BE CHARGED AN EXTRA $25 WHEN:
- you leave dirty dishes in the sink
- you leave bikes in worse condition than you found them
- brake boogie boards and don't replace them
- you leave sand on furniture or floors
- brake dishes or glasses and don't notify us to find out what their value is
- leave the house in "trashed" condition, with garbage and recycle items everywhere, wet towels on the floor, etc.
- change the schedule settings on the thermostat
- leave lights on while you're away
This home is located in a residential neighborhood, please be respectful of those around. No late-night parties.
Bikes, boogie boards available for free with rental; the only rule is: you break it, you fix it.
Flexible check-in and checkout, let us know what your needs are, and we'll try to accommodate them.
Please remember to recycle and compost.
The house was great and comfortable. Very close to everything we needed and wanted to see. It did indeed feel like we were home and could easily find what we were looking for. Having a stocked kitchen was great, especially when you need a bit of cooking oil! We also loved the back couch area- a perfect place to lounge in the evenings.
The place was almost as expected! Very clean and had all the essentials we needed. George and Thea replied very promptly and were very friendly. I would recommend this place and rent from them in the future.
Beautiful house on a quiet street in Venice. George and Thea's apartment was very charming and had all the amenities we needed and more. Lots of cool stores and restaurants within walking distance just as advertised. The beach and Santa Monica were a short bike ride away as well. Thea was very kind and helpful for booking us last minute. Highly recommended for a family trip to LA.
Nice house in a perfect neighborhood. Close to shops and restaurants and you can take a nice walk to the beach through the canals if you feel like it! The house is cosy and fully equipped but maybe a little too crowded when you have a curious toddler!
Our experience with the host, Thea, was great and the apartment is on a nice quiet Venice neighborhood street. Overall, it was a great place for our family to gather for the holiday, and excellent for the price. It was great having full access to a kitchen, so we cooked most meals at the house. Overall, a great stay!
Dear Thea and Wolfe,
Thank you so much for hosting us in your house in Venice Beach. The location, off Abbot Kinney, is ideal (i) for local restaurants and the beach, (ii) for downtown historical sight-seeing and (iii) for touring the Holywood studios (parks and tours). It is a perfect home-away-from-home, quiet, airy and relaxing, for a family like ours. We also very much enjoy your 21st century text-reactivity when we had queries. We will definitely get in touch next time we are around as a family.

George and Thea's place in Venice Beach is in a very nice neighborhood on a quiet street. Our communication with the host was excellent. The house was very clean with a lot of space for the five of us and we really enjoyed our stay. We especially appreciated the breezes through the opened windows and the patio in back. It was very comfortable and we'd surely come back. We highly recommend this space!
