Thank you so much Lara! Lara is a wonderful hostess. My flight was 3 hours late, so I got to her house at 130am and she was there to greet me at the door. She also offered me coffee in the morning knowing I would need it. :-). The house was clean and I enjoyed my stay.
This the my first negative experience with an Airbnb host. Airbnb itself was helpful in finding a resolution, which was an early departure, with a refund for the nights I didn't stay and additional Air bnb credit). On a positive note: the room was adequate (though 'linens' felt synthetic and low quality and NO air conditioner, just ceiling fan, I was hot) , with a nice refrigerator, and the street was quiet...but that's about all I can say in favor of this listing. Lara made me feel very unwelcome, from the beginning. The day before I checked in, I gave her an ETA of 6 pm, but ended up being 30 minutes late due to traffic after a long drive. , but I had to wait 3 hours until she got home (9:30 pm) before I could get into the house. In the morning, the host left the house for about 1/2 hour and didn't leave me a key as requested, so I couldn't leave the house myself. I requested a key multiple times and didn't get one. I had asked in advance to be able to use the blender to make a smoothie, and although I was able to do this, the rest of the kitchen was very dirty and I was told I couldn't use it. (There were unwashed dishes in sink, and food in pots.) I felt very unwelcome and unable to have a conversation about this. I didn't sleep well because there was music on until 12:30 am(she turned off music at my request). I see that guests have had inconsistent experiences, so maybe I was just unlucky to have had a bad stay. I tried a number of times to have a conversation with Lara about working out compromises so my stay could work, but Lara was not interested. Overall, Lara seemed unprepared to be a host and I found her difficult to communicate with. I hope we can both learn from this situation.
Unfortunately I have to warn everyone who is thinking about hosting this man. He was sexually harassing me in my own home. He is rude, manipulative, spiteful and has serious boundaries issues. I had to throw him out in the morning following his arrival because of his behavior. He tried to negotiating that he "could change his behavior" but I couldn't trust him. He refused to leave when I asked to and took him 2 hours to get out of the door. i told him that I was going to write a review about his behavior , so he had an idea about the way I was going to deal with it. He even contacted me hours later and tried to negotiate with me stating -"If you agree to do not do a review on me I will not review my stay also. let me know? (his own words pasted from the email)".
But i am sticking to the truth and that is what I am going to do. I hope Airbnb deal with this sexual predator in the way he needs to be dealt with. I am concerned also because he verbalized to me that he was planning on becoming a host with Airbnb as well. Besides that, he broke a blind and a window in the bedroom, and stole a towel, which I didn't noticed until days later. i was just relieved to get me out my house and forgot the check the bedroom. Please be aware.
Comfortable and convenient.
We stayed for 3 days in the house of Lara and it was a very nice experience! The room and bathroom were cozy and clean. Lara is a warm, sensitive and friendly woman. Helpfully and very good in making a cup of tea!
Iara was a wonderful host and very accommodating. She made me feel very welcome. The private bedroom I stayed was just as described and it was comfortable and quiet. The location was great and access to Clearwater Beach and nearby Dunedin was excellent. Overall, I can say one of the best Airbnb values in the area.
Iara was a great host, very accomodating! I was in and out at weird hours since I was in town for a wedding, and there were no problems. Everything was clean and well cared for, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and Iara stopped to make me coffee every "morning" despite when I woke up! She even offered to give me a ride a couple of (website hidden) was my first Airbnb experience, hopefully all my future ones go this well!
I'm glad I found Iara's place! It was an excellent home base for recharging between visits with my family during our family reunion. I had a comfortable bed in a clean room and a nice bathroom throughout my stay. It was just what I needed. Iara is a most friendly host: she offered me breakfast and gladly fielded my around-the-area questions, too. Thanks, Iara!

I am outgoing, very active, I hit the gym at least 3 times a week. I enjoy cooking, gardening, chating, making new friends, biking, dancing. My work is very serious so I entitle myself to the fun as a relaxing tool.
