We would like to invite you to enjoy our lovely apartment, set in tranquil gardens, just a stroll across the river from Melbourne's exciting CBD.

Our 2-bedroom apartment has everything you need for a truly enjoyable city retreat, including a solar heated outdoor pool, sparkling spa, mod-grass tennis court, a secure undercover car park and a tram stop practically on the doorstep.
All of Melbourne city's highlights are within an easy stroll, or short tram ride, including the theatres, shops, laneways, bars, restaurants, museums, MCG, Etihad Stadium, Melbourne Convention Centre, Crown Casino, Queen Victoria Market, China Town, the Yarra River and Royal Botanical Gardens to name just a few.
This cosy, self-contained 2-bedroom apartment in Southbank is one of 3 apartments that we have listed on airbnb, all located in one of Melbourne's most sought after apartment complexes. Its the perfect place to stay for those that want to make the most of Melbourne's many attractions or just to relax.
We think we have one of the nicest and more unique apartment complexes in Melbourne. It is a low rise complex set in an acre of landscape gardens, with grass to loll on, a gorgeous pool and spa to splash in, and a tennis court and small gym if you are feeling more active. It is more of a resort than an apartment complex.
The apartment is located up two short flights of stairs on the second level in a low-rise complex set around gardens. We only have four stories which gives it a much friendlier atmosphere, and there is a lot more interaction between residents.
The No.1 tram stops right outside our complex and takes you to the city in one direction and South Melbourne beach the other way. We are also surrounded by bike paths and have hire bikes just across the road if you want to be more active.
What you will get:
2 good size bedrooms - one with a queen size bed and the other with a queen and a single bed.
(There is also a single fold out bed if needed).
Use of the recreational facilities e.g. solar heated pool, spa, tennis court (just ask us for racquets and balls if you want a hit) etc.
Use of the fully equipped kitchen and BBQ,
Linen, towels, crockery and cutlery, oven/stove, microwave, washing machine, fridge provided.
Heaters and fans
One bathroom with combined bath and shower
A separate toilet
Front balcony overlooking the tennis court and gardens
Tram stop directly outside the apartment complex
Flinders Street train station (Melbourne's metropolitan station) just a short walk away
Hire bikes just across the road
Mini supermarkets, noodle shop, pizza and Italian restaurant only 200 metres away
Eclectic South Melbourne Market and Clarendon Street just up the road.
In the area:
Our apartment is located in the heart of the 'arts precinct', a short walk from the river, Southgate, the Arts Centre, National Gallery, Crown Entertainment, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, DFO and Docklands, with a huge range of great restaurants, bars and shops to choose from.
We could go on an on... but will refrain ourselves! If you would like more info just send us an email via airbnb. But if you are interested we would suggest that you get in quick as accommodation in this complex tends to get booked out early. :-)
Looking forward to meeting you soon.
Cheers Bronnie and Neil
NOTE: While this is a great place to enjoy the best of Melbourne it is not a party place. The body corporate is very strict on late night parties and noise and fines are issued if security has to be called out.
It is a family friendly place and we are looking for considerate people who will be respectful of the apartment, neighbours, facilities, and body corporate rules.
Just a couple of simple house rules:
No loud noise or parties
No smoking inside
No additional guests without checking with the hosts
Apartment to be clean and tidy when you leave
Respect the other people who share the complex and adhere to body corporate rules i.e. no alcohol, glass, or smoking in pool, gym, spa or tennis court areas,
no laundry on the front balcony, abide by noise restrictions etc. (for extreme breaches of body corporate rules security may be called out and charged to offenders)
From Jan 18 - 31, 2016 the minimum stay is 4 nights.
Unit location in southbank great. Unit clean and tidy. Nothing too much trouble for hosts. Thankyou.
The apartment was as described and the location is good. We walked with our four year old son to the city center. Communication with the hosts was really good and prompt.
We have just returned from a delightful 10 days staying at Bronnie and Neil's apartment. Bronnie met us at the door and showed us around, we both commented on how warm the welcome was and greatly appreciated the time she took to tell us about nearby attractions and especially about how to get around.
The apartment itself was very comfortable and made our stay much, much more enjoyable than it would have been in any hotel!
Upon our arrival, Neil welcomed my wife and I and provided helpful advice about the apartment and surrounds.
The apartment was as described. it was clean, well fitted out, well maintained and located within walking distance of the CBD.
Without hesitation, we are pleased to pass on our views to anyone looking for good quality, well priced Melbourne accommodation.
Sorry to say the overall stay was let down by the condition of the bathroom. Not expecting 4 stars but this was very poor. Black mildew all over the tiles in the bath/shower. Mildew in the grout by the sink. You can smell the mildew! Heated towel rack unplugged and socket covered up with tape. Clothes dryer in bathroom closet ducted straight into the room with lint/dust all over washing machine (why not wipe this off??) Paint bubbling and chipped around bath (probably rotten underneath. etc.) Found hairs on the floor in there and in the toilet. Has anyone thought to mop around the back of the toilet door? Housekeeper must have been in a big hurry. Thick dust/bits of ??? between frig and stove. Why not reach in there are wipe that out? Is the dishwasher working? I might have missed it but couldn't find dishwasher detergent anywhere. Dirty tissue under the bed. This flat is very well located and the complex is like a lovely oasis in the city. Great to see the lawn and trees after a busy day downtown. We tried the jacuzzi which was a bit grubby and actually not warm enough but still ok. Given the price I wasn't expecting anything fancy - but I do expect things to be clean. We are a camping/hiking kind of family and can do it pretty rough if required but this one got to me. Sorry I cannot recomend.
Hi Carolyn, we are really sorry to hear the enjoyment of your trip was marred by the condition of the bathroom. It is a pity you didn't bring these issues to our attention at the time, as requested in the induction, as we could have rectified them for you straight away. Regardless of that, we have had a couple of complaints about this apartment and have brought in a new cleaning crew since your stay with more rigorous standards. We will also check the extractor fan in the bathroom to make sure it is operating at optimum level.
Very welcoming hosts, extremely helpful especially with holding our luggage on our last day.
Accommodation suitable for our needs and excellent location for our cbd and nearby exploits!
Quite a number of stairs to apartment and wouldn't be suitable for anyone with knee problems or the very elderly as no elevators.
Clean, comfortable and quiet.

About the Host, Bronnie & Neil
Hi from Bronnie and Neil. We love our city and sharing it with others. We're pretty easy going, and love getting out and about exploring different places. We are both keen travellers and have done our fair share of it in Australia and overseas - whether backpacking, camping, or the occasional splurge on 5-star resorts! You wouldn't call us 'party animals', but we do like socilaising and meeting people. We enjoy a wide variety of interests, love the movies, eating out, popping down to the beach on our scooter or pushbikes, and enjoying the many exciting sporting events and festivals that Melbourne has to offer.
As well our a private room in our own apartment we have three other entire apartments that can be booked on airbnb as well as another private room in a cosy apartment in South Yarra. You can view them by clicking the View Full Profile link below and clicking on the listings on the left hand side of the page.
We think airbnb is a great way to travel and we really enjoy being airbnb hosts as we get to meet so many wonderful people from all parts of the world. We are more than happy to help you out as much as we can to make sure you have a great stay in Melbourne, including playing tour guide if schedules suit :-) We hope to meet you soon!
