This cosy, self-contained 2-bedroom apartment in Southbank is one of several apartments that we have listed on airbnb, all located in one of Melbourne's most sought after apartment complexes. Its the perfect place to stay for those that want to make the most of Melbourne's many attractions or just to relax.
We think we have one of the nicest and more unique apartment complexes in Melbourne. It is a low rise complex set in an acre of landscape gardens, with grass to loll on, a gorgeous pool and spa to splash in, and a tennis court and small gym if you are feeling more active. It is more of a resort than an apartment complex.
The apartment is located on the second level in a low-rise complex set in an acre of gardens. There is one set of external stairs and two short flights of internal stairs to the apartment.
The No.1 tram stops right outside our complex and takes you to the city in one direction and South Melbourne beach the other way. We are also surrounded by bike paths and have hire bikes just across the road if you want to be more active.
What you will get:
2 good size bedrooms - one with a queen size bed and the other with a queen and a single fold away bed.
Use of the recreational facilities e.g. solar heated pool, spa, tennis court (just ask us for racquets and balls if you want a hit) etc.
Use of the fully equipped kitchen and BBQ,
Linen, towels, crockery and cutlery, oven/stove, microwave, washing machine, fridge provided.
Heaters and fans
One bathroom with combined bath and shower
A separate toilet
Front balcony overlooking the tennis court and gardens
Tram stop directly outside the apartment complex
Flinders Street train station (Melbourne's metropolitan station) just a short walk away
Hire bikes just across the road
Mini supermarkets, noodle shop, pizza and Italian restaurant only 200 metres away
Eclectic South Melbourne Market and Clarendon Street just up the road.
In the area:
Our apartment is located in the heart of the 'arts precinct', a short walk from the river, Southgate, the Arts Centre, National Gallery, Crown Entertainment, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, DFO and Docklands, with a huge range of great restaurants, bars and shops to choose from.
We could go on an on... but will refrain ourselves! If you would like more info just send us an email via airbnb. But if you are interested we would suggest that you get in quick as accommodation in this complex tends to get booked out early. :-)
Looking forward to meeting you soon.
Cheers Bronnie and Neil
NOTE: While this is a great place to enjoy the best of Melbourne it is not a party place. The body corporate is very strict on late night parties and noise and fines are issued if security has to be called out.
It is a family friendly place and we are looking for considerate people who will be respectful of the apartment, neighbours, facilities, and body corporate rules.
NOTE: The pool, spa and gym area will be closed off over the winter months 2016 due to renovation.
Interaction with Guests
We always try and meet guests personally when they arrive to show them the apartment, the complex and how it works, where local attractions are, supermarkets, how the public transport works etc. For stays longer than a few days we try and pop in and say hello to make sure everything is going OK, and as we also live in the same complex we try and make ourselves available as much as possible for any help or advice that is needed. If you need anything just ask.
Your apartment is located in the heart of Melbourne's Arts Precinct, surrounded by theatres and art galleries.
Te No. 1 tram stops right out the front of the apartment complex.
Other Things to Note
There are no lifts in this complex, the apartment is on the second level, there is one external and one internal flight of stairs to the apartment.
We need to know what time you plan to arrive so we can organise to meet you as there is no reception desk to leave keys. Check ins after 8pm may incur a surcharge.
Just a couple of simple house rules:
No loud noise or parties
No smoking inside
No additional guests without checking with the hosts
Apartment to be clean and tidy when you leave
Respect the other people who share the complex and adhere to body corporate rules i.e. no alcohol, glass, or smoking in pool, gym, spa or tennis court areas,
no laundry on the front balcony, abide by noise restrictions etc. (for extreme breaches of body corporate rules security may be called out and charged to offenders)
Hi from Bronnie and Neil. We love our city and sharing it with others. We're pretty easy going, and love getting out and about exploring different places. We are both keen travellers and have done our fair share of it in Australia and overseas - whether backpacking, camping, or the occasional splurge on 5-star resorts! You wouldn't call us 'party animals', but we do like socialising and meeting people. We enjoy a wide variety of interests, love the movies, eating out, popping down to the beach on our scooter or pushbikes, and enjoying the many exciting sporting events and festivals that Melbourne has to offer.
As well our a private room in our own apartment we have a number of other entire apartments that can be booked on airbnb. You can view them by clicking the View Full Profile link below and clicking on the listings on the left hand side of the page.
We think airbnb is a great way to travel and we really enjoy being airbnb hosts as we get to meet so many wonderful people from all parts of the world. We are more than happy to help you out as much as we can to make sure you have a great stay in Melbourne, including playing tour guide if schedules suit :-) We hope to meet you soon!
