Sehr empfehlenswert!
My family and I rented Stefanias house one week in November. We really liked the house. It is big and well equipped. We got help when we needed it with both cleaning and cooling. Stefania is a thoughtful hostess and makes you feel very welcome. The house is well situated for excursions on the peninsula Sorrentina.
We were six friends sharing this huge, beautiful villa with great views. When we first set foot on the property, we gasped at its size and vistas. We took full advantage of its many terraces, particularly the main one outside the kitchen as we breakfasted there every day and cooked up a storm on two evenings, one of them with other guests and a few local artists. Giovanni, who takes care of the place, was very helpful and always around to help with any information or queries. The villa is in small Massa Lubrense, a short drive to Sorrento, which you can also easily reach by a regular local bus. Its location is perfect to drive to the Amalfi coast.
We had an amazing time at Stefania's villa Oct 5-12, 2013. We were breathless upon arrival, the place was even more beautiful than described! John next door was there to help us with any needs, and
To our great joy we were able to also meet the warm and generous Stefania! We also were fortunate enough to have Julia cook for us on or first night, which was definitely a highlight of our week!
We were a party of 6, three couples, and we would have had room for plenty more. The views from this house are breathtaking, and traveling here was easily navigated without a car. We loved the dreamy little town of Massa, as well as the little village of San Francesco right up the hill. We took busses into Sorrento, and some of our group hiked there as well. From Sorrento it was easy to ferry to Napoli, as well as Capri ( which we ran out of time to do) and Amalfi.
All of us agreed we would not hesitate to stay here again, it could not have been more perfect! Thank you so much Stefania for sharing your beautiful home with us!
An absolutely gorgeous villa in a peaceful and beautiful city.. this is just far enough from the loud touristy sorrento.. its very easy to get to sorrento if you need to get to napoli or amalfi , but I was surely content to stay in masa Lubrense most all the time. We rented a moto scooter in Sorrento.. cheap ( 37$ a day) and that makes it easier to get around. there are a fre restaurants and great pastry shop plus little groceries and fish markets right in the main town square. a great little walk from the villa down the hill. if your friendly with the locals they will often give you a lift back up the hill! all though it is a totally fine walk. the beach is easy to get to and there is a place to rent a chair/umbrella..6 euro a day.. small area so easy to find. This is a very peaceful getaway.. extremely convenient but away from the touristy crowd. a very safe little town. there is a grocery with anything you could need just 1 minute out of the house.. on the hill. you see it from the gorgeous terrace. open 6am-1pm the 4/5pm-8pm.. very sweet people.. try the local lambrusco for 1.30 euro! amazing wine..
Stefania is a dream.. so kind and made sure we had anything and everything we needed.. she even made sure we got home safe back to the USA!
Stay here you wont regret it.. great price..
wishing you all amazing travels!
Being a group of 10 friend, we had an awesome time at the villa of Stefania in Massa Lubrense. It is a large villa, equipped with all the things you need for a pleasant stay. It is highly recommendable.
We had a wonderful time at the villa. The photos do not do it justice, it is just gorgeous. We were a family of 9 people, ranging from teenagers to adults and the house accommodated us perfectly, everyone had their own space and the many bathrooms were appreciated.
It is located just far enough away from the overly touristy areas. Massa is beautiful and makes the costiera experience fantastic!
We didn't meet Stefania in person, but she was very easy to contact and very relaxed which made us feel comfortable. The house is perfect for those who want to relax and see the Amalfi coast without the tourist hubbub.
Apart from the great terrace and views, a highlight of the trip was renting a small boat from the Massa harbour, allowing us to see Positano, Capri, Sorrento and other areas inaccessible by road.
Beautiful views! Wonderful, spacious home! Very unique décor and layout on each floor. Definitely a place to consider near Sorrento!
Situated on a hill with a view of descending lemon trees and olive groves with the distant church bells ringing, this villa was ideal for relaxation and filled with so much character and history.
Far away enough out of the hectic, tourist scene, you could easily spend all your time on the expansive, beautiful terrace, drinking coffee or wine, reading a book or staring at the view. It is also close enough to swoop into Sorrento to get your fill of all it has to offer.
Stefania was the perfect, warm, gracious and charming hostess with so much knowledge of the area and recommendations for places to eat and shop.
We did get Julia to cook for us one night and the meal far surpassed what you could order in town. But be warned...don't make the mistake, as we did, and fill up on the first course. There is plenty more to come.
I think this was a major highlight of our trip. I would highly recommend staying here. It will be one of the fondest memories you will take home with you.
