The Space

Just five minutes from Ubud center with scooter, we have a great little place that is simple and sweet! The room is private and quietly located facing the rice fields. It has a great bed and a small, private bathroom. You have your own BIG kitchen with all the necessities to make yourself breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a little restaurant at the front that offers great local food. Tea and coffee are on the house. We have a great pool and parking for your scooter. Wifi is included and laundry can be picked up and dropped off!
We can assist you with anything here in Ubud, whether you need a scooter, a driver, or just some great places to hang out, do yoga and get "zen" etc. For those of you that know Ubud, we are just up from the Ark. A great place to just get away from the hustle and bustle and to relax with Ubud just down the road. A magical place!

  • Nyoman is a really nice host and very helpful. Our flight got delayed for 2 hours, and the driver that he assigned to pick us up waited at the airport the whole time! And when we got to the Kishi Kishi, it was just beautiful! We loved our room Kishi Alam, but the only down fall was, while we had a lot of privacy, but the neighbour in the back blasted his music really loud at 7am, that we had walk over to ask him to turn the music down. It was all good, the rest of the stay after than, there was no loud music anymore. We stayed there for 7 days, and Nyoman was there for all that we need. We also rented a bike from him. Really nice place. And Bali is just magical! Really.

  • We stayed at Kishi Kishi for 5 nights in June.
The place is nice, tranquil, surrounded by rice fields. The room is simple, but spacious. There's a nice pond with fishes right at the entry of the house. 30 minutes walk from Ubud main road. There is a couple of warungs close to the villa (especially Bintang Warung, about 200m from the villa).
The best part of the stay was Nyoman's hospitality. The owner is very helpful, easy-going, always doing his best to satisfy the guests needs.
The place is definitely worth visiting. And the price is pretty attractive.

  • I stayed with my boyfriend for three nights at Kishi Alam. Nyoman is an excellent host--very cheerful and willing to accommodate any need you might have. The pool was relaxing and just big enough for an afternoon dip.
The major pitfall of the place is that it is far north of town, which we didn't realize when we booked. Fortunately, Nyoman has scooters available for rental for 50,000 rupiah/day which is an excellent price and makes getting around very easy. We thought that because it is outside of the center of the city, it would mean a peaceful and quiet sleep, but instead there were nighttime celebrations at the nearby temple and roosters crowing in the early hours of the morning. With the help of earplugs, we managed to sleep, but it is something to be aware of if you choose to stay at Kishi Alam.
Overall we had a nice stay at a very affordable price and would recommend it bearing in mind that you have knowledge of the location and the potential for nighttime noises.

  • I didn't manage to stay in this Lotus Pond but host's another room Kishi Hati instead. The room is clean, quiet with good view and as same as the pictures. The location of the place is bit far from Ubud central, about 3km, but if you can drive a scooter, it's not a big deal. However, there are a few things I hope the host can improve in the future:

    1. I asked for airport transport with the host, however, the driver didn't show up. While I was waiting in the airport for almost 2 hours, I had called the host a few times, and he finally picked up and told me that the driver had an accident but didn't tell him until he called the driver. If your driver and guest didn't show up for a period of 2 hours, I expect you to send me a message or contact your driver proactively.

    2. During my stay, I took a one-day program with the host, in the flyer, it only wrote the places to visit in bullet point, and included the words 'buffet lunch' in a bracket, but nothing else, no description at all. However on the day, I was so shocked to know that the price I paid ($600,000 rupiah) didn't include tour guide, tickets, and even lunch! It's only for the transportation. The host's explanation is that I didn't ask in the beginning, and the 'lunch' in the flyer refers to the place for lunch instead of having lunch! Instead of blaming your guest for not asking in detail, I think it's your responsibility as a host to write your program in details and explain to your guest upfront clearly about what is included and what is not.

    3. I appreciate you offered me the ride between your place to the central. However, you should tell your guests in the beginning that the ride is not free and the cost with a car and a motor bike is different. If your offer is not kind help but priced, please tell your guests clearly.

  • I really enjoyed to stay at this place. The place is really nice, the bedroom is big and confortable, the swimming pool is really nice also, cozy and charming. I wish I could had stayed the whole month there.
The neighborhood is amazing, in the middle of the paddies, very magical and close to everything in Ubud. You can easily get around with a scooter or a bycicle.
Nyoman is a really kind person, very helpful and he was all the time available and ready to help us. All the guides that work with him were also really kind and helpful, showing us all the city and the temples.
We had a wonderful experience staying there and I definitively recomend this place..

Thank you Nyoman for letting me stay at Kishi Hati and for everything concerning my credit card problem, you have been very helpful. I'm planning to come back soon and i hope to stay at your place again.

  • We loved our stay at Kishi Alam. Nyoman was renovating the original building so we ended up staying down the street at a different place, and it was tranquil, comfortable, exactly what we hoped for. Nyoman is very kind and accomodating and will assist you with whatever you need. The pool in the back is small but perfect for taking a dip. The kitchen is tiny but fine for boiling water for coffee or making breakfast or a simple lunch. The bedroom and bathroom are airy and spacious. Really nice place.

  • Kishi Alam was delightful with its big airy room with an amazing high ceiling/roof and the semi-open bathroom! I felt like I was in a magical story, with the huge leaves all around. Nyoman was very friendly and most helpful, organising things like transport and laundry services. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the surrounding rice fields are beautiful. There were some nice warungs offering delicious food very close by. I really enjoyed being a bit further out from Ubud, even though it did mean some kind of transport was necessary. Wi-fi was good, as was the pool. I hope the warung out front opens for breakfast, that'd make the place even more perfect :) I hope I can stay here again some day!
