Room in a farm stay

Your own room in a home, plus access to shared spaces.
FLOWERTOWN CHARM FARM – Historic Urban Farm Stay in the Heart of Summerville Aloha y’all! Stay in one of Summerville’s last in-town farms, an 1870s restored farmhouse where you can cuddle goats, pet mini Highland cows, and walk to coffee, wine, and restaurants. It’s a farm-meets-city experience you didn’t know you needed; historic, udderly adorable, and unbelievably convenient! We like to say we are city in the front & country in the back!
Adults only!

Your second-floor guest suite includes adjoining two bedrooms, a sunroom, and a dedicated bathroom
✨ King Room: original master, luxury bedding, antique details, closet, big sunny windows.
✨ Queen Room: desk/vanity, cedar chest, overlooks the mini-farm, wake up to goat drama.
✨ Sunroom: bright, cozy sectional, Roku TV, mini-fridge, & microwave
✨ Bathroom: clawfoot tub, antique touches, fluffy towels, and our homemade goat milk soap.

THE MINI-FARM
Guests must love animals! Meet and Snuggle:
• bouquet of dwarf goats (Flower names)
• two mini cocktail named Highland cows (Mimosa & Malibu)
• mini donkey (Bonita)
• fancy chickens (too many names to list)
• farm dogs (Winter & Grizzly)
• bunnies, tortoise, barn cats, and bees (You just have to come meet them all!)
Guests may visit the animals during daylight hours and say our animals are the friendliest they’ve ever met. Snuggling encouraged.
We also host public farm experiences that vary weekly, Goat Yoga on most Saturdays. We will provide a calendar of events in your welcome message!
Guest are welcome to book any of our events in person.

A FEW NOTES
Because of antiques, stairs, and animals, we’re not suitable for young children. We do allow children at our farm events, so please book that instead.
We live here and tend to the animals early, public guests do attend our farm experiences in the farm yard, but you’ll have complete privacy in your suite.

During your stay
We live in the home and work on our farm for a living, so we are usually here if you need us!
We do wake up early to tend to the farm animals, so you may hear us moving about. Our bedroom is also on the second floor with the guest rooms, but we sleep with a sound machine and are very used to guests coming and going!

Other things to note
Our home was built in the 1870's so it has had some major renovations, and is a fixer-upper that still needs some! We try to take on most of these renovations ourselves so sometimes you may see one of our projects we are always working on :)
We also clean with green cleaning products throughout our home.

Neighborhood highlights

Summerville is a historic family town that is nicknamed “Flowertown in the Pines” because something is always in bloom, and we take pride in preserving our trees, especially the pines. It is famous for our Flowertown Festival in April and home to many artists.
Our home is in the heart of Summerville, and is urban, so we are across the street from grocery shopping centers which are very convenient but also in a busy area. We have a Health & Wellness Spa one door down which we highly recommend. There is also a new bakery on the corner. The best restaurant in South Carolina and #33 in the US on Yelp, Myles & Jun Yakitori is basically a block away.
Then there is a Food Lion, Harris Teeter, Walgreens, Starbucks, Tuesday Morning, pizza, sushi, bistro, Chinese food, a gym, Applebee's, and many more restaurants within a block from our house. We do have sound machines in each room if any noise from being in the city or on a busy road should bother you.

We are about 15 minutes away from the beautiful gardens of Middleton Place & Magnolia Plantation. And about 25-30 minutes from downtown Charleston! Some of our favorite restaurants are 5 minutes away: Myles & Jim Yakitori, The Icehouse, Red Pepper, Shuckin’ Shack, 5 Loaves Cafe, and Accent on Wine!
