Beautiful Gulfport is walking distance. We have an Art Walk twice a month on the 1st Friday and 3rd Saturday. There is music everywhere you walk, hand made clothing and hand carved jewelery,Painting and book signings at times in front of the used book store. The shops are open then also with very electic offerings. We have an open Fresh Air market once a week on Tuesday which offers all manor of vegetables, fruits and a variety of foods you won't find just anywhere. The cheeses are incredible as are the sauces. Handmade clothing, specialty cheeses and desserts.
Gulfport is an eclectic neighborhood which really should be walked to appreciate its beauty. The homes here are truely one of a kind. Some with beautiful paintings depicting scenes that are only imagined. Some of the porches are so beautiful and long.We have a haunted house tour because ,if you didn't know, Gulfport is one of the oldest cities to be settled here and we Do have haunted homes.
In our uniqueness we have many funky restaurants with some of the finest food I have ever eaten. If you're looking for good music and food here O'Maddys' restaurant right across from the water and pier is excellent. We have Pegs Cantina for Mexican food lovers. La Cote'Basque for french cuisine. A wonderful breakfast and lunch place Stellas' with a great chef and Pia's Trattoria for delicious Italian food and a new German restaurant just opened and Saltys which is an open air bar with great music and games outside.
We have so much to see here its difficult to write it all down. From funky restauants, to open air bars across from the beach to playing volleyball on the nets set up for your enjoyment. Theres a library and local theatre up the middle of the blvd. One of the oldest, funkiest, laid back post offices I have ever seen is housed in the antique, curio, what not shop.
If you like parks we have plenty. The closest to me is Clam Bayou. Simply a beautiful place to ride your bike or walk. There is a Ferry at the end of my street that you can take to Egmont Key for the day if you like. There are piers for fishing also and you walk right past the Marina. There is also a park and tennis court as you walk to town or we have bikes for your personal use and beach chairs to take to the beach with you.
If you like to canoe or kayack there is a place on the main street that rents them and will drop them off for you or just take them to the beach and enjoy the day. There are so many things to see and do here. We hope you love it as much as we do.
. If you are celebrating a special occasion and need flowers or something more to make the moment you walk in more enjoyable let us know and we can coordinate flowers, wine, appetizers or whatever you need. We are here to make your special time memorable..

I love the diversity of Gulfport. The way we all promote living. I love the support that comes from our town in the form of expressing art and music. Our neighbhood is quiet, artsy walking distance to everything in town
The bus stop is at the end of 27 ave and 49th st. Gulfport Beach has a free open trolly that drives around town also and a Gecko themed golfcart that will pick you up for a donation and drive you all about Gulfport.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the little guest house in gulfport. Stephanie was a great host. Accommodations were exactly as described. Stephanie was very warm and helpful. She immediately
Responded to our questions. Cottage was very charming. Absolutely
lovely location. Entire property extremely well cared for.
Our stay at the Lovely Guesthouse was terrific. The listing is very accurate and cottage very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The fenced yard and private patio are very nice. Loved the fire pit. Stephanie and Cherry were very friendly and excellent hosts. The location is excellent and very safe. Three blocks to marina and beautiful park. Six blocks to great dog park. We will return. You must try O'Maddy's at sunset for drinks and dinner!
Stephanie was a great host...she gave us all the necessary information ahead of time for where to park and what to do when we arrive. Even though she couldn't be there at our arrival because we arrived at an odd time, she made it very simple to get into the apartment. And the accommodations were fantastic and I would recommend the "Lovely Guesthouse" (an appropriate name) to anyone! It was a quaint, little private apartment off of the main house that had all the amenities anyone could need and had plenty of space! It was a great place to stay! And the location was great, being about halfway between downtown St. Petersburg and St. Pete beach and just a few blocks from the Gulfport strip! A great place that we would be happy to return to!
Stephanie was so friendly, even offering to pick me up from the airport if it worked out.
The guesthouse was truly lovely, in every way. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Access to the patio, grill, bicycle, and laundry room were added bonuses! Perfect place to bike the short distance to the beach, and historic downtown Gulfport.
This place is awesome! My husband & I were in town for the St. Pete boat show and ended up staying for 6 nights. There is a reason why Stephanie has received almost 100 very positive reviews (which is why we chose this rental).
The place is super clean and she has thoughtfully considered every detail for her guest's comfort - you will not lack for anything. The unit is exactly as pictured, except while we were there, she'd added a cute little christmas tree-like decoration with lights (v arty!).
Gulfport is a great little town and the house is in a wonderful neighborhood not far from town and the water - great for morning walks (there is a fabulous waterfront park nearby across from the marina).
Stephanie is very responsive and super nice - we would gladly stay here again!
My wife and I just loved staying at the Lovely Guesthouse! Wonderful stay, cute house, pictures accurate, beautiful neighborhood. Stephanie did a great job getting in touch, responding to my emails and calling the day we were to arrive. Felt so at home. Superb accommodations, chock full of whatever we might have needed.
We had a very comfortable stay in this apartment. Stephanie had everything we needed in the kitchen and bath! Thoroughly enjoyed our time here! The apartment is exactly as described and very clean!

I am a very upbeat, energetic person who loves to entertain. If I could, I would have become a chef and had a bed and breakfast and just enjoyed meeting people from all parts of the world. Instead, I am a nurse and have still met people from all over the world. I, however, didn't get to cook for them and entertain. Now I get to do the next best thing and I look forward to meeting you all.
I love to travel and have been many places but not nearly enough of them. I look forward to my vacations also and love to travel both abroad and in the U.S. There's just so much to see and enjoy. Life is to live and enjoy. That is my philosophy. So live and enjoy.
