Gulfport is an eclectic neighborhood which really should be walked to appreciate its beauty. The homes here are truely one of a kind. Some with beautiful paintings depicting scenes that are only imagined. Theres a library and local theatre up the middle of the blvd. One of the oldest, funkiest, laid back post offices I have ever seen is housed in the antique, curio, what not shop.
If you like parks we have plenty. The closest to me is Clam Bayou. Simply a beautiful place to ride your bike or walk. There is a Ferry at the end of my street that you can take to Egmont Key for the day if you like. There are piers for fishing also and you walk right past the Marina. There is also a park and tennis court as you walk to town or we have bikes for your personal use and beach chairs to take to the beach with you.
If you like to canoe or kayack there is a place on the main street that rents them and will drop them off for you or just take them to the beach and enjoy the day. There are so many things to see and do here. We hope you love it as much as we do.

We had a great time in Gulfport! This place had everything we needed, beach stuff, bikes, and cool respite at the end of the day. Stephanie and Cherry were very friendly but also let us have our space. Would recommend!
We had a great stay at what was indeed a Lovely Guesthouse. The description and pictures were accurate, loved and enjoyed the private patio and the neighborhood was quiet. The town of Gulfport has a nice mix of businesses close by and the Tuesday morning outdoor market was too good. We ended up finding and buying way more than expected but we sure are glad we did.
Stephanie answered all our questions but gave us plenty of privacy. She was easy to contact prior to the stay. We will be back again.
Stephanie's Lovely Guest House was wonderful, and our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer. She's thought of everything - even chilled glasses in the freezer! My significant other and I went down to FL to visit the Dali museum in St. Petersburg (only 10 minutes from Stephanie's place in Gulfport) but also visited St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and Clearwater, all within a reasonable driving distance. Her home was clean, cozy, and very welcoming, and even more spacious than the photos. The private patio was an added bonus. We only met Stephanie briefly during our trip, but she was very communicative leading up to our arrival and even offered to let us check out late on our last day since she had no other guests arriving. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!
Stephanie is the hostess with the most-est! We've stayed at her lovely guesthouse before, and we are particularly fussy senior citizens. She has stocked the charming cottage with sundry provisions and plenty of towels and linens. She even provides a free washer and dryer and laundry detergent. There is also a beautiful, very private side yard for her guests to enjoy. You are able to park your car right at the front door, and her neighborhood is safe and within walking distance to the many shops and restaurants downtown. The best part is that she is just one of the kindest and most thoughtful of persons in general! We won't stay anywhere else when we visit the Gulfport area. Her place affords all the comforts of home.
We stayed at Stephanie's Guesthouse for 3 nights - it was lovely!
Stephanie welcomed us very warm and friendly. And the Guesthouse is just amazing: very clean, spacious and very well equipped.
The area is very quiet so it's perfect to get a good rest. We went to St Petersburg, Clearwater and Honeymoon Island from there. Perfect location.
The dinner at O'Maddys in Gulfport was great too.
We would definitely come back!
Thank you Stephanie!
The Lovely Guesthouse is a great spot to use as a home base for exploring everything that Gulfport and the surrounding areas have to offer. Stephanie is a great host and the guesthouse is equipped with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The patio is a tropical retreat, a tranquil place to enjoy morning coffee, afternoon reading and evening drinks. The guesthouse is an intimate comfortable space. You feel relaxed the minute you enter the double glass doors. The canopy of the mature trees in the landscape provides cooling shade in the Florida sun. The neighborhood is quiet. It is a few blocks from the marina and a nice walk to the shops and eating places in downtown Gulfport.
Thank you Stephanie for such a "lovely" guesthouse.

About the Host, Stephanie
I am a very upbeat, energetic person who loves to entertain. If I could, I would have become a chef and had a bed and breakfast and just enjoyed meeting people from all parts of the world. Instead, I am a nurse and have still met people from all over the world. I, however, didn't get to cook for them and entertain. Now I get to do the next best thing and I look forward to meeting you all.
I love to travel and have been many places but not nearly enough of them. I look forward to my vacations also and love to travel both abroad and in the U.S. There's just so much to see and enjoy. Life is to live and enjoy. That is my philosophy. So live and enjoy.
