The Space

Lovely Spanish style home with Guesthouse.French doors, tile floors, long comfortable couch with large chair and ottoman. Carved glass table in front of couch. Flat screen TV with cable and DVD. Flat screen T.V. in bedroom also.
An assortment of dvd's and book have been left for your enjoyment. I have also procured pamphlets for Busch Gardens, Disney, The Chihuly Glass Collection in St Petersburg and the Dali Museum.
There are 3 other fine museums in St.Petersburg you may like to visit. I have left brochures for eat-in and take out restaurants also. Tyrone Mall is close by for shopping and in Tampa we have the International Mall.
The bed is queensize and very comfortable with a footrest at the end to lay your luggage on.Plenty of drawer space. Iron and ironing board are in closet. The bathroom is very bright and roomy. There is a private 19x30 ft patio for your private use. Equipped with tables, chairs, bar, grill and fire pit. Washer and dryer.
Beautiful Gulfport is walking distance. We have an Art Walk twice a month on the 1st Friday and 3rd Saturday. There is music everywhere you walk, hand made clothing and hand carved jewelery,Painting and book signings at times in front of the used book store. The shops are open then also with very electic offerings. We have an open Fresh Air market once a week on Tuesday which offers all manor of vegetables, fruits and a variety of foods you won't find just anywhere. The cheeses are incredible as are the sauces. Handmade clothing, specialty cheeses and desserts.
Gulfport is an eclectic neighborhood which really should be walked to appreciate its beauty. The homes here are truely one of a kind. Some with beautiful paintings depicting scenes that are only imagined. Some of the porches are so beautiful and long.We have a haunted house tour because ,if you didn't know, Gulfport is one of the oldest cities to be settled here and we Do have haunted homes.
In our uniqueness we have many funky restaurants with some of the finest food I have ever eaten. If you're looking for good music and food here O'Maddys' restaurant right across from the water and pier is excellent. We have Pegs Cantina for Mexican food lovers. La Cote'Basque for french cuisine. A wonderful breakfast and lunch place Stellas' with a great chef and Pia's Trattoria for delicious Italian food and a new German restaurant just opened and Saltys which is an open air bar with great music and games outside.
We have so much to see here its difficult to write it all down. From funky restauants, to open air bars across from the beach to playing volleyball on the nets set up for your enjoyment. Theres a library and local theatre up the middle of the blvd. One of the oldest, funkiest, laid back post offices I have ever seen is housed in the antique, curio, what not shop.
If you like parks we have plenty. The closest to me is Clam Bayou. (email hidden) to ride your bike or walk. There is a Ferry at the end of my street that you can take to Egmont Key for the day if you like. There are piers for fishing also and you walk right past the Marina. There is also a park and tennis court as you walk to town or we have bikes for your personal use and beach chairs to take to the beach with you.
If you like to canoe or kayack there is a place on the main street that rents them and will drop them off for you or just take them to the beach and enjoy the day. There are so many things to see and do here. We hope you love it as much as we do.
. If you are celebrating a special occasion and need flowers or something more to make the moment you walk in more enjoyable let us know and we can coordinate flowers, wine, appetizers or whatever you need. We are here to make your special time memorable..

  • "Lovely Guesthouse"... No lie! The place was beautiful and Stephanie (email hidden)! We had a great stay!

  • Stephanie and Cherry were great hosts. They really put a lot of effort into providing a quality stay, with every essential you could imagine. Both were very responsive, and also allowed me to use their bike and beach chairs (since my tires were a little flat.) Stephanie is also an animal lover, so having my cat there was welcomed by her (which i appreciate.)

The patio area outside is private and beautiful, and the plants are really cool. There's also a little fire grill, and plenty of padded seating. Inside, there are 2 flat screens, towels, kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff, etc. When you stay there, just take a look at the amount of detail that has gone into this guesthouse. It's impressive.

Thanks again to both...would love to stay again sometime! :)

  • This was my first AirBnB stay and it was totally terrific. Stephanie and Cherry are warm and hospitable (as well as really interesting --- they travel a lot!) and were wonderfully accommodating. The cottage itself is more adorable than the pics in the listing ---- sweet and cozy --- and has everything one might need (including central air, solid internet, and a comfy bed). Parking is super convenient --- about 10 feet from the door --- so loading and unloading is easy. Big oak tree over head and a great patio space. I fell under Gulfport's spell --- it's a friendly, artsy, walkable town --- and the cottage is in a perfect location for exploring. Big thumb's up!

  • The listing was exactly as the description made it out to be. Stephanie left us everything we could need! The guesthouse was set up much like a home away from home and we had easy access to both Gulfport and St. Pete attractions. Amenities included two bikes, a private deck and a full kitchen.

  • This spring I spent two nights in Stephanie's *incredibly* lovely guesthouse and I only wish I had another week or two to spend. The guesthouse itself is decorated with incredible style and beautiful colors. The pictures represent it well, but it's even nicer when you arrive. Plus, the patio area is luxuriously spacious with plenty of seating. Everything on their property is gorgeous and the house is located in a quiet, adorable neighborhood in Gulfport.

The town itself is a gem, with a relaxed, friendly and family-oriented feeling. Stephanie's place has a parking spot and the availability of bicycles, so really everything in the region feels "within reach." I highly recommend this lovely guesthouse and cannot wait to return ASAP.

  • We had a great 3 night stay in Stephanie's lovely guesthouse. She was very accommodating of our schedule for check-in and check-out. We enjoyed the privacy of the back patio as well as the conveniency of the guesthouse kitchen. A home away from home!

  • Great place to stay in Gulfport! My wife and I stayed for one week, and loved it. The guesthouse has everything we needed, and more. We especially loved the private patio, and using the beach chairs and bicycles. The town of Gulfport is really wonderful, I'd recommend it to anyone looking (email hidden), but with big city amenities, like great restaurants especially. Plus it is only a few minutes from downtown St. Petersburg, and close to Fort Desoto, one of the best beaches in the world. Bottom line: we loved it!

  • Stayed here for eight days. Great location to a lot of beaches using a car. Gulfports has a choice of places to eat. The guesthouse was great ,plenty of room . BBQ grill was handy and the bikes are in great shape for you use. Would differently recommend this guesthouse. Thanks to Stephanie for making it available.

  • We spent five days at the Lovely Guesthouse and found it perfect for our trip. It was very comfortable and convenient for coming and going between activities. We would recommend staying there to others and would return again if planning a trip to the area.

I am a very upbeat, energetic person who loves to entertain. If I could, I would have become a chef and had a bed and breakfast and just enjoyed meeting people from all parts of the world. Instead, I am a nurse and have still met people from all over the world. I, however, didn't get to cook for them and entertain. Now I get to do the next best thing and I look forward to meeting you all. I love to travel and have been many places but not nearly enough of them. I look forward to my vacations also and love to travel both abroad and in the U.S. There's just so much to see and (website hidden) is to live and enjoy. That is my philosophy. So live and enjoy.
