Interaction with Guests
Your hosts will be happy to share their knowledge of Rotorua's best attractions and activities, especially the many places to go for free.
If you like animals the horses, cat, dogs, chooks, sheep and cattle are mostly friendly too!
The property is on the urban fringe of Rotorua amongst other farms and lifestyle blocks. The last house on the right side as you drive up Fairbank Road you will not find anywhere else so quiet yet so close to the city. Just an easy 2 km stroll down to the lake where you can visit Wai Ora Spa or enjoy the Hannahs Bay wetland.
Fairbank Road is located between the city and Rotorua Airport. There is public transport along Te Ngae Road or five minutes to the city (or airport) by car.

It was a lovely stay with Margie's host and we would like to thank you her again! The location is quiet and easy to get there by car. It is just 10mins driving to the airport or to the City centre. The house is also clean and tidy.
P.S. Their doggies are so cute and they love to play with everyone :)
Margie is hostess. It was a pleasure to spend time with her. There are a lot of interesting places to visit - a geyser, lakes, etc, Margie can advise on them.
Margies was our first stop in NZ. It was easy to find, convenient for rotorua with a car and is a lovely setting. Chickens wandering free, producing lovely fresh eggs for breakfast, fresh veg and herbs from the garden suit if you want to cook for yourselves.. and there is a large outdoor gas BBQ grill on the veranda and a microwave although no hob or oven and we used some of our own kitchen equipment. It's clean and relatively new and the views are fab. There were also toys for the kids which was nice. Margi was away but kindly agreed for us to stay anyway so we only met briefly at the end. Communication was quick and pleasant at the start and when we needed help halfway through and problems were quickly resolved. Thanks.
It was a very good place to visit Rotorua and around. Living between horses and sheep was amazing! Margie is really welcoming and good advice. We had a great time with Margie. Thank you again!
Great place to stay just outside of Rotorua. Margie was very welcoming, and the farm is beautiful. The view is great, and it was nice to have the small kitchenette to avoid eating out every meal. The bathroom seemed new and was very nice, especially the piping hot shower.
Margie was very friendly and the cottage was perfect. Lovely waking up to the horses saying good morning. Very relaxing experience. Rotorua is quite small so it's only about 10 minutes in the car to get to the far side of town. Wifi was reliable and fast.
Very comfortable bed and good bathroom facilities. Wireless was not working but Margie was helpful in letting us use the wireless in the main house. Convenient locaion for Hell's Gate thermal park where you can enjoy the thermal and mud baths. Waimangu Volcanic Valley was outstanding.
