Interaction with Guests
When I am there I love to interact with guests.
Its just about the best place to live in Dublin. Everything on your doorstep, including lovely restaurants, lively pubs, barista cafes, and 20 mins walk to St. Stephens Green, the main pedestrianised shopping area on the south side of the city.
Take the aircoach from Dublin airport. Ask to be let off at Doubletree Hotel.Cross the road, and walk up Appian Way. At the top of Appian way, turn left into village, and third road on right hand side is Ashfield Road. No. 93 is the first house on the right hand side beside the Italian restaurant. Approx. 12 minute walk from Doubletree Hotel.
No pets allowed. No smoking.
A lovely home in a great location. Public transport close by and an easy 30-40 minute walk into the city centre. Spacious room, but I personally found the three flights of stairs to my room rather daunting.
Mary was out of town when I stayed at her listing, but she was very responsive through messaging (I had to contact her 5 or so times) and was helpful with the information provided. The listing is quite nice and clean. The neighborhood seems up and coming, and there's a lot of cafes that line the street. It is about a 5 minute walk to the tram that goes to the town centre, and it takes less than 10 minutes once you get on the tram. One thing you may note, if you're going to be out late, you'll likely have to take a cab (about 8 euros) back to Ranelagh because the tram stops at midnight. I would stay here again, I got some great rest towards the end of my trip as it is really quiet in the house and the neighborhood.
Mary’s house is very clean and I like how it’s decorated. The location is good for getting to the central city, and there are many eateries and cafes in Ranelagh itself where you can spend your time. Mary was a kind and helpful host, even went above and beyond the day I departed. She’s also a great yoga instructor! My only issues are that the room I stayed in was a tad smaller than I thought it would be (the larger room wasn’t available during the dates I was there), and the wi-fi was wonky at times. When visiting Dublin, I would stay in her place again, but in the double room. :)
Gostei muito de ficar na casa de Mary, a casa é muito bonita e a vizinhança é ótima, com várias opções de compras. Infelizmente não me encontrei com Mary, mas ela providenciou tudo para que minha estadia fosse boa.
I really enjoyed my stay at Mary's house. Both herself and her brother Mike were excellent hosts and I was very glad that I was able to meet them. The house was clean, beautiful and had all the necessities. I was made to feel right at home. It was about a 25 minute walk into the downtown centre or a quick ride on the LUAS tram. I would definitely recommend a stay at Mary's!
The location is very convenient, just a few steps from the main street of Ranelagh. The house is clean and cozy. Mary is very helpful. Excellent accommodation at a great value.
I had a perfect experience on Mary's house. Ranelagh is just great and she and her brother Michael are good people and very friendly. My experience was much better than expected. Highly recommended!
