The private room available is a cozy and welcoming space in a large three bedroom in Park Slope. The bedroom comfortably fits two. The apartment is across the street from Prospect Park and within walking distance to major subway lines!
My room is cozy with high ceilings and decorated rustically to avoid overwhelming the space. There is a great fire escape outside the window in the room that is fun to spend time on when the weather is nice.
Guests will have access to the entire apartment and all that it has to offer! Our kitchen is well-stocked with everything you'll need to cook. There is plenty of storage space throughout the apartment for more extended stays in addition to a large closet that supplements the available room.
I'll provide you with a set of keys so you are free to come and go as you please!
Interaction with Guests
While I will not be around when guests stay in my room, my two female roommates could be! They are fantastic and both love to cook and hang out and talk about current events. Both of them have lived in New York for over five years so they can provide real-time advice and tips for your visit! While they love company and meeting new people, they won't be around all of the time given the New York City lifestyle.
Park Slope is a stunning neighborhood in Brooklyn. I like to think of it as a secret corner of New York City, where I can feel like I am both part of the city and also separate. The apartment is nearly 10 steps from Brooklyn's largest park, Prospect Park, where you can run, walk, hike, bike, throw the frisbee, fly a kite, have a picnic, or just people watch in one of the long meadows. If you've never explored Prospect Park you don't know what you're missing!
Additionally, Park Slope offers a huge array of dining options, from anything to the best pie shop in all of New York City to BBQ so good you might never want to leave.
The Brooklyn Museum is within walking distance from the apartment, as is the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and the famous Brooklyn Library. Oh the things you can do!
The apartment is situated nicely between several different subway lines. You can quickly walk to the F,G, 2, 3, B and Q trains, which will take you anywhere you need to go. Both JFK and LGA are accessible to the apartment as well, while cab rides to and from both airports are inexpensive depending on what you'd prefer.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights and had a great time. Turns out neither Ryann nor either of her roommates were around during our stay, but Ryann had set up everything and we felt totally at ease. She was always quick to respond to our emails. The place was as described and was great for us. It was really nice to be right next to Prospect Park. It was always very quiet and calm at night.
My friend and I had a GREAT experience in Brooklyn. The neighborhood is very nice, the subway very close and convenient. The apartment is big even if the bedroom isn't, but everything was very clean, as in the picture. Ryann and her roommates are very friendly; you couldn't be better welcomed. I recommend!
Hi! I currently live in Brooklyn, NY after spending five years in Chicago during my undergraduate tenure. I am attending Fordham University in the pursuit of a Master of Social Work degree. When not attending class, I am training for an upcoming marathon, listening to live music, and taking weekend trips. I love to cook and bake, though I wish the NYC lifestyle afforded me more time for both.
I spent six months studying and traveling in India, which was of course incredibly eye-opening. Additionally, I've traveled to Thailand, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Ireland, and Scotland. Up next I have trips planned to Seattle, Portland, Kenya, and Thailand (again!).
