There is a new queen platform bed with a Serta pillow top mattress. Fluffy bedding and air conditioning. For cooler nights there is a wood stove with the fire laid for you and ready to go.

There are magnificent views from the estate and from atop Mount Beacon, of our Hudson Valley and the Schwangunk Ridge.

The downstairs is quite comfy with a full sofa and a wood burning stove. A bank of book shelves offers many great reads for those who like to kick back and immerse themselves in a good book. For guests we have a flat screen TV included. We have added a new, and large comfortable sofa which can be used as a bed for those who do not want to share the queen bed. Comfy bedding is available for the sofa with extra blankets for cool nights

The Hudson Valley, popularized by the stories of Washington Irving (The Legend of Sleepy Hollow) the region gained a reputation as a somewhat gothic region inhabited by the remnants of the early days of the Dutch colonization of New York. The area has always been associated with the artistic movements from the Hudson River School (American Romantic painters) to Pete Seeger involved in the environmental organization Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, which he co-founded to highlight pollution in the Hudson River and worked to clean it.
