Hotel Saya Wasi (the upper house in Quechua) offers you the pleasure of staying in a cozy B & B located in the San Blas area in Cusco, 5 min from Plaza de Armas. This small haven will bring you peace of mind in the more rustic area of the imperial Inca city. This place is the meeting point for artists, close to cafes and galleries. You will comfortably walk in the pedestrian streets or stay at the hotel to laze off on the terrace and admire the view of the incredible historical center of the city.
Excellent location. Close to museums, cafes, restaurants. 5 Min walk from Plaza de Armas.
10 min by taxi from the Airport.10 min. from the train station if you are planning to visit Macchu Picchu.
We speak English, French and Spanish to help you in your travel planning.
This is probably one of the best places you could stay in Cusco, so stop your searching. The room we stayed in was on its own floor in Denis' large home, which is great because it feels like a private apartment (it has a separate entrance). The bed is furnished with a comfortable duvet, clean sheets, and faces floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows showcasing a lovely view of the city and its mountains. You will love waking up and falling asleep here. Especially when Denis treats you to a scrumptious breakfast every morning.
Staying with Denis demonstrates for me the best of what Airbnb can offer: a clean and comfortable home with inspiring decor, a great location and environment (conveniently located in a hip part of the city, San Blas, nearby the city centre, Plaza de Armas), and a host —more accurately, your close friend — that goes out of his way to make your stay extraordinary. From the lovely chats on the terrace, the breakfasts on white table linen, to hanging out, you will be so spoiled by Denis. Take your time to explore this great city and ensure you make your stay with Denis!
Merci beaucoup Denis et à bientôt!
I will never stay anywhere else in Cusco. Such accommodating and friendly hosts! The view is indeed unstoppable and not distant at all from the Plaza de Armas. It was hard to sleep at night, I didn't want to take my eyes off such a lovely panorama. And after two weeks pf heavy Peruvian blankets the down quilt was heavenly! Very helpful that Denis speaks English though that's just icing on the cake.
Denis and Herman have been the best hosts. It feels like our second home. The room is amazing for the rate, breakfast first rate, hosts above all else extremely welcoming, happy, 'can't do enough for you' attitude. So kind , we even were invited for Christmas supper-delicious.
The balcony and terrace are a sun trap.
You'd be a fool not to stay. The best place so far.
THANKS BEAUTIFUL DENIS AND HERMAN
An amazing place to stay in Cusco. We arrived late on a Saturday night after doing the inca trail so we were in need of a rest! Denis and Hernan (and the 2 friendly dogs) greated us with a very warm welcome, a cup of tea and a snack! We had the upper room which was massive with a nice clean bathroom and an amazing view over the city and mountains. The breakfast was delicious, we chose what we wanted from a large selection of items and ate on the terrace in the sun. Denis and Hernan were excellent hosts, helpful, kind and chatty. They booked us a taxi for the day we left, gave us a toothbrush after we had lost ours and even walked us down to the taxi and carried one of our bags for us! There are a few flights of steps to climb up to get to the apartment, which may be difficult if you are suffering with ams however totally worth it for the view.
Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay with wonderful hosts, we only wish we could have stayed longer!
