Relax in a bedroom for two in my spacious southwestern-style home surrounded by beautiful Arizona desert in Tucson’s foothills. Enjoy the full-service kitchen, laundry room and Internet. You'll have easy access to mid-town and all the best dining.
This house has been designed with a classic elegance and decorated with desert-inspired colors. You’ll have free reign of the luxurious and spacious interior with its vaulted ceilings, mission-style furniture, and overflowing greenery.
The floor plan has a split-bedroom design, with the master suite and office on one side and your private room tucked away on the far opposite side. You’ll feel like the entire house is yours for the duration of your stay.
Immediately outside your room is a Keurig coffee maker and tea for a morning lift. Plus, unwind with a continental breakfast before heading out for the day. During the day, take a little time to bask in the warm winter sun on the patio and relax with a fire and BBQ in the evening.
The property is located in Tucson’s lower mountain foothills, above the hustle of the inner city. The dark nights are punctuated by the distant sparkly lights of neighbor’s homes and occasional coyote howls. There’s plenty of room to park any-sized vehicle, and you might want to take a stroll or jog through the neighborhood’s meandering streets and gentle hills. For a more extensive look at Tucson’s magnificent mountains and desert, explore nearby Sabino Canyon with its meandering mountain stream or the eastside Saguaro National Monument with its towering cacti.
A Whole Foods grocery store is located about a mile away, with several shopping centers and restaurants close by as well. Your host will be happy to make recommendations.
Make yourself at home to cook, BBQ outside, do laundry, watch a movie in the living room or surf the Internet. The house is yours.
I work out of the house as a consultant and typically will be in my office on the west side of the house ... or out somewhere. You are welcome to contact me in person or by phone or text anytime. Otherwise I leave you to your own enjoyment.
Your surroundings are in the desert on a quiet street, yet still close to "civilization." The neighborhood is very safe and laid back.
Because this property is away from the busy part of the city, public transportation is not close by. You definitely need a vehicle to get around. Alternatively fee-based shuttles or taxis are available as well.
My stay with Robert was great! Robert is a very welcoming host and graciously opened his entire home to me. He is very thoughtful in providing accommodations, right down to the coffeemaker outside the room and luxurious bathrobes. Robert's home is very clean, quiet and comfortable and the beautiful patio is the perfect place for relaxation and enjoying the Arizona warmth. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, with well-appointed homes and beautiful natural Sonoran desert appeal. I would definitely recommend this listing to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway. Thanks Robert for a great AirBNB experience!
We had a great time staying with Robert and his girlfriend! They are super easygoing people and very welcoming. Their house is lovely, huge and very clean and comfortable. There is a great view of the city from the terrace, and the hills are just out the door-- it's very easy to get to the trailheads, but there are also stores and restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!
Our host was intelligent, friendly and paid attention to every detail. This is a gorgeous home with beautiful lighting and a lovely, restful place to stay. We especially enjoyed the spacious patio.
I very much enjoyed my stay in Tucson at Robert's home in the hills. This home is nestled among other fine homes in a beautiful natural environment, in a good, safe neighborhood. My room, and the house were clean, bright, and comfortable, with all the conveniences of a very nicely arranged home. Both inside and out were a pleasure to enjoy, with french doors leading out to a patio and outdoor fireplace, and indigenous landscaping. My host and hostess were very friendly, hospitable, and welcoming. All of this made for an enjoyable, pleasurable and relaxing stay. I look forward to coming again next year!

Our visit to Tucson and staying with the host Robert at his beautiful home in the foothills....was exceptional! If your looking for quiet, private great accomodations and access to the best part of Tucson, then I highly recommend this B&B. Close to great hiking and restaurants and away from the hustle bustle, it was what we were looking for.
I needed a total "getaway" from my very busy-life in order to write reports for work, so I booked two nights only an hour away from my home. Robert's place in the desert foothills of Tucson was exactly what I needed for utter solitude and a soothing atmosphere. I was able to concentrate, complete my reports, and return to my life feeling refreshed and restored!
The home was easy for me to find, surrounded by custom-built homes on very large lots, and located on a winding residential street where I felt very safe. It has a completely private backyard with a hillside view of cactus, saguaros, and ocotillo bushes which is where I spent most of my time lost in thought at the laptop. The spacious interior of the home is uplifting and elegant, has vaulted ceilings, tile floors, and an interesting mixture of the most modern appliances with antique furnishings. Every little amenity had been anticipated (coffeemaker right outside my room, spa robe in the closet, a warm welcome-note with house details). The kitchen is in the great room so feels very airy, refrigerator was huge, and all the appliances were absolutely spotless. Robert was a great host... there to answer my questions, help me get settled-in, and then quietly gone, allowing me to tackle my project. Even though it's January, I was able to wear a jacket in the evenings and sit outside on the back patio listening to owls and coyotes and staring up at a billion stars in the dark sky. I'd have to say that my overall experience was like staying in a wellness-resort but with a more comforting and homey feel. It was such a positive experience that I will wholeheartedly recommend this place to friends and out-of-town guests. Thank you, Robert, for your hospitality and thank you, AirBnb, for an excellent getaway!!
