The cottage is located on part of the "seven mile miracle" which hosts the world's most premier surfing competitions including the Super Bowl of wave riding- The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. Our home is only steps to a beautiful uncrowded beach and two great surf breaks! Off street parking included! We pride ourselves in keeping a very clean home!

The space

Beach towels are provided to save you space in your luggage. Coffee in the AM to help you get over any jet lag ;) Laniakea (turtle beach), Sunset Beach, Pipeline, Ted's Bakery, Shark's Cove, and Waimea Bay are a short 5 minute drive or LESS away. We are 10 minutes to Haleiwa town for shopping and restaurants. Only a few steps to our neighborhood beach with a great surf break right out front for surfers and sheltered swimming area for others.

Our yard which the deck overlooks has been lovingly landscaped by us and it is filled with fruiting citrus, pineapples, ginger, hibiscus, jasmine and plumeria. If you are lucky to be staying with us when the night blooming jasmine is in bloom then you are in for a real treat! :)

We live on the property but have our own entrance, living space and own bathroom. We do utilize the kitchen for preparing meals so you will see us there! :) We really try to give guests as much privacy as possible and let you dictate how much interaction you want.

Ceiling fan, "vornado" fan and amazon fire TV with Netflix app in each room. Spacious closet with hangers to help you organize.

The guest bathroom is shared with the other guest room. Guests may have a private bathroom some nights if the other room is not occupied. This happens probably 50% of the time.

Our home was built in 1952 and has all the charms of "Old Hawaii".

Guest access

Guests have access to the kitchen for preparing snacks and light meals, the main living area of the house, (we have a private living space in the back) and a spacious deck area for lounging or dining. Private off street parking is included. (Rare for budget accommodations in the area!!)

Interaction with guests

We're happy to give recommendations on adventures to have and things to eat!

This was the PERFECT escape from city life. The house is SUPER clean and charming. Don't expect luxury, expect a REAL Hawaiian experience. You're in the middle of the north shore, steps away from the most amazing sunsets you will ever see. I stayed when other guests were occupying the other cottage, sharing the bathroom and we were always on different schedules.... so it was never a big deal. You can't beat the location and Auntie Laurie was amazing. The bed was comfy and it was so nice sleeping with the windows open! Thank you!

Amy's place was great! She was gone so her Auntie Laurie was there when we arrived and was very sweet and accommodating. We felt comfortable right away in their home. The lanai in the front is great for morning coffee time. We will definitely stay with them again!

Great place to stay! Right across the street from a gorgeous beach, close to hiking trails and the charming little town of Haleiwa. Flexible with check-in and check-out. Beautiful and very clean room, bathroom, porch, living room, and kitchen. Captures all of the beauty and peacefulness that the North Shore has to offer!

Stayed here for work for a few nights and really loved being able to walk across the street to the beach! Just around the corner from the food trucks and Food Land. Also, easily made daily visits to Ted's bakery for pie! Simple accommodation and very welcoming hosts!

I love living in Hawaii and try to enjoy an active outdoor life style. Daily walks on the beach and enjoying the surf when possible are just a few things that make this place so special.
