International Guest house has a wave of Hispanic colors with plans to keep making the house welcoming, inviting and sustainable...
We have kayaks, bicycles and fishing poles for use....
Space to camp ^
We have a colorful space that I would say is Mexican themed since my wife is from Mexico and we have spent a lot of time there. We also have plans to it more international and sustainable. My hope is each guest will help make the house more green and sustainable, so if you have any experience with that we would love the assistance. Also we open to you adding your creative talents to our house in whatever way possible; adding your personal touch. We have had previous guests draw, paint, murals, build shelves, raised beds, plant fruit trees, help build the compost and the list goes on......
Access to all common areas and fully prepared kitchen, where you can wow us with your cooking skills. We are always up for trying new food!!! :) It is not uncommon for community dinners at our place.

Interaction with Guests
My wife and I are both in our late 20's & early 30's and two years ago we traveled through central and south America. We enjoy meeting people from other places and we plan to interact with our guests as much as they would like.
Our house is 4 blocks away from Tampa Bay and Lassing Park which has a nice little beach. Plus when the tide goes out you can walk a fair distance into the water.
Our neighborhood is very artsy and eccentric. It was just designated an artist enclave. A lot of our neighbors have chickens and gardens and each house is very unique.
Close to Dali Museum, University of South Florida- St. Petersburg, Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, Downtown St. Petersburg
There is a bus stop on 4th street & 19th ave and this is about 1 block from my house. This route can take you all over the county or connect you with other routes and it this is route 4.
Greyhound bus station downtown St. Petersburg, 5 min. from the house
Clearwater & Tampa International Airport about 20min. from my house
At this time we do not allow pets inside the house
Guests are responsible for cleaning up after themselves and we would encourage you to follow the rule of leaving things better then you found them.
Shoes off in the house
We take pride in recycling and composting.
Excellent location, friendly and helpful hosts, well-maintained property. Highly recommended!
Absolutely perfect place to chill.
This was my first airbnb experience and it didn't go so well. Chris and Joni were very nice people, but the place was a little too bohemian for me. No air conditioning and the windows were open with no screens. They did turn on the AC after I requested it, but then I was told by Joni that it was broken. After I gathered my things to leave, Chris told me that he turned it off because he thought I was out. Regardless of what the situation was, it was entirely too hot for no AC on the 2nd floor and 90 degree day and night temperatures.
The place itself was clean and had a nice vibe, with lots of international guests. The location was okay, the room was cute, but the mattress was pretty much a foam pad which another reviewer also mentioned. I was just reminded that you get what you pay for, unfortunately.
Recommended mainly for students on very tight budgets.
"Strangers are just friends you haven't met" Our place is relaxing, friendly, inviting and professional. We cater to individuals looking to get away from the hotel environment. We have hosted doctors, lawyers, students, teachers, retired individuals, travelers, families, business men & women, farmers, and everything else in between from countries close & far. We do believe in sustainability and using energy wisely: we recycle, compost, collect rain, have a few gardens, led lighting and are working towards getting our solar panels installed. We do have AC, and we did just have to have it maintained, has to happen every year. We are 4 blocks from the beach, 12 blocks from the university, and 1 mile from the center of downtown. Our neighborhood is amazing: Historic Old Southeast, with brick streets, community gardens and plenty of walking/biking space. We just received a new artist designation, the first in the city of St. Petersburg. We appreciate all of our guests and the impact they have in making our home better for the present and future.... We look forward to meeting you.......
Chris is welcoming and accommodating. This was my first airbnb experience so I arrived with an open mind. Don't be afraid to ask the host what is available for private or shared space.
Chris and the other guests made a great impression on me. All were open to sharing places to see, where to eat, and what to do. The neighborhood is comfortable, especially the courtyard for socializing each night.
I cannot say enough good things about what an amazing time I had choosing Chris as a host for my first AirBnB stay. The room I was given was perfect and the people that I met during my stay were also just as amazing. My experience was nothing but positive. It was an experience I will cherish & never forget. If your on the fence on who to choose for a host, just stop now and book with Chris, you won't regret it. Thanks again Chris!
My boyfriend and I had a great time. Chris made us feel very comfortable from the get go. Everything was very clean, we would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.
Chris was a great host, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. I was travelling solo but I got to meet plenty of other people from all over the world that were staying In Chris' houses which made me feel welcome!
