About this listing

Private Bedroom with Private Bathroom.
We have kayaks, bicycles and fishing poles for use....
Space to camp ^
We have a colorful space that I would say is Mexican themed since my wife is from Mexico and we have spent a lot of time there. We also have plans to it more international and sustainable. My hope is each guest will help make the house more green and sustainable, so if you have any experience with that we would love the assistance. Also we open to you adding your creative talents to our house in whatever way possible; adding your personal touch. We have had previous guests draw, paint, murals, build shelves, raised beds, plant fruit trees, help build the compost and the list goes on......
Access to all common areas and fully prepared kitchen, where you can wow us with your cooking skills. We are always up for trying new food!!! :) It is not uncommon for community dinners at our place.

Interaction with Guests
My wife and I are both in our late 20's & early 30's and two years ago we traveled through central and south America. We enjoy meeting people from other places and we plan to interact with our guests as much as they would like.
Our house is 4 blocks away from Tampa Bay and Lassing Park which has a nice little beach. Plus when the tide goes out you can walk a fair distance into the water.
Our neighborhood is very artsy and eccentric. It was just designated an artist enclave. A lot of our neighbors have chickens and gardens and each house is very unique.
Close to Dali Museum, University of South Florida- St. Petersburg, Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, Downtown St. Petersburg
There is a bus stop on 4th street & 19th ave and this is about 1 block from my house. This route can take you all over the county or connect you with other routes and it this is route 4.
Greyhound bus station downtown St. Petersburg, 5 min. from the house
Clearwater & Tampa International Airport about 20min. from my house
At this time we do not allow pets inside the house
Guests are responsible for cleaning up after themselves and we would encourage you to follow the rule of leaving things better then you found them.
Shoes off in the house
We take pride in recycling and composting.
Great guest house, looks like on the pictures. The atmosphere was great, it felt like home :) The private room was good and there was always someone in the common area to hang out with, if it get's too boring in the room.
Would definitely stay there again :)
I felt absolutely welcomed by the host. They prepared a great dinner for everyone. The host provided great suggestions for things to do in the area.
Great location near USF St. Pete and Eckerd College
Muy hospitalario y amable Chris. Excelente lugar Casa International para mi estadia en St. Pete. Muy recomendable. Volvería sin dudarlo. Saludos
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and the place was clean. Having said that, it's important to know that this place is for the "younger single generation" and you will be required to "share" a bathroom. Our room (which was just right of the picture shown) consisted of a box spring and mattress on the floor a twin bed and a desk. Although the bed was somewhat comfortable, we spent most of the nights remaking our bed because the fitted sheet was too big for the mattress. The first night someone made their dinner after 9:30PM and the guests gathered in the living room during this time. They watched a movie(s) and talked and laughed till well after midnight. The next night the guests gathered around about 10:00PM laughing and talking most of the time and again they visited until after midnight. Then someone woke us up around 5:00AM and once again turned on the TV and had a long conversation. They were drinking both nights but it's important to know that they did not get out of hand, they were just enjoying themselves. Our bedroom was right there next to the living room and kitchen which made us able to hear everything.
Although we paid for 3 nights we only stayed for 2.
I think this is an ideal place for the younger single generation looking to have a good time in a safe environment.
Thank you for your feedback. It is true, our international guest house has shared bathrooms, shared kitchen, living room, dinning room, but private bedrooms. For us this is a very positive thing and we encourage sharing. We enjoy meeting & learning from our guests, but each guest gets to share as much or as little as they chose. We understand. We also know you can learn something from everyone and we all have something to share. You could also use one of our shared bikes or kayaks and are welcome to take part in one of our potluck dinners that take place every once and awhile in our outside courtyard.
I wish we could of addressed your issues while you were here. I understand this was your first Airbnb experience. Our house caters to individuals of all generations and we have hosted from ages of newborn to 90. Most of our guests are well traveled abroad or interested in pursing those interests. We look forward to the opportunity to host you again, you are always welcome. Hasta la proxima, hasta luego, esperamos verte de Nuevo, buenas suerte, viajes seguros
very accomodating host. felt totally at home
