Great location steps to Trout Lake park, short walk to Commercial Drive's cafes and shops.
Trout Lake hosts a local farmers market every Saturday, all summer long.
The park is an unexpected oasis for such a central location,
Close to transit, (7 minute walk to skytrain) quiet, private yard, all the usual perks, internet, laundry, flatscreen with cable....no dishwasher though...can't have it all !
Lots of parking

I had a great stay with Paul. The house is located next to a beautiful park where you can take a long walk around the lake. It's also close to Broadway and Commercial, which means you can easily get downtown with the skytrain or check out lots of shops and restaurants. However, the house was quiet and the bed was comfortable so I slept well.
Paul is an interesting guy and we had a very good conversation about the local Vancouver scene. I'll be back again next time I visit the city.
Paul was welcoming and explained various features of the place. The location is quiet and convenient to buses and rapid transit. Nice to have a kitchen with some breakfast fixings available.
Paul's a nice, thoughtful host. He had some snacks on hand, plenty of caffeinated beverages, and a TON of maps and brochures about exploring the area. He even found us a hair dryer. Everything was as described; it's a very residential area so be prepared to walk a ways.
My only contact with Paul was by phone but all the arrangements were in place. I had the basement suite to myself. It was a good, quiet night of sleep, no footsteps or noise from upstairs after I went to bed at 10:30pm.
Breakfast was simple and ample, coffee and toast. It might have been nice to have the option of some fruit and/or eggs.
We were made very welcome! Paul is a friendly outgoing man, who greeted us warmly, and we drank some wine and exchanged tales of India.
The young couple sharing the apartment were delightful discreet company. The apartment exceeded our expectations. We were delighted with the kitchen, the bedroom was spacious and comfortable.
Its proximity to rapid transit and the delightful Trout Lake park made it a haven indeed. We'd recommend this b and b very highly. Thank you Paul!
I received instructions regarding how to enter the suite a couple of days before my reservation so I knew that I did not have to disturb anyone whilst entering. There was a bag of coffee on the counter beside the coffee pot and a welcome message with the wifi password on the fridge. The suite is the whole basement section, so quite large, including a bathroom, living room, laundry area, and two rooms. My room was large, the bed was comfortable. Overall a great experience in a quiet beautiful neighbourhood of Vancouver, couldn't have asked for more!
Přijetí bylo solidní, průběžná péče přiměřená. Vybavení místností skromné, koupelna dosti spartánská. Pro jednoduché přespání a nenáročnou klientelu dostatečné.

I am someone who counts himself fortunate to have experienced a great deal of hospitality from friends and strangers all over the world, I first had an opportunity to host other travellers and guests during the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, I enjoyed the experience and am now continuing ....Happy Trails !
