This sleek yet comfortable private studio on the ground level of our Midcentury Modern home at the base of Old Mission Peninsula is ideal for couples and single travelers. We offer a hotel-like experience in a quiet home setting with a garden and patio that's all yours. Downtown TC and sugar-sand beaches are a few minutes away by bike or car. The space
This 450-square-foot redwood studio apartment is on the first floor of our 1964 Modernist home. It has easy access (no steps) and complete, self-contained privacy. Large, breezy windows overlook the fenced garden. Settle into the queen memory foam bed and enjoy an updated bath, dining/working/lounging space, and kitchenette for light meals & snacks or morning coffee (no stove—cooking on hot plates or grills strictly prohibited). Smart TV with simple access to your own streaming accounts, free movies, news, and music on select channels. (No standard network TV.) It's an ideal retreat for couples or single travelers who enjoy active days, dining out, and relaxing evenings. We like to greet our guests on arrival, then give total privacy.

Guest access
In addition to the studio apartment with its own garden entrance and patio, you may request scheduled, private use of the laundry room while we are home (inside our home, adjacent to the studio). Guests have a dedicated vehicle parking space in the driveway, and they may request garage access for storing bicycles. Across the street you'll find tennis courts and a running track that you're free to use when school events are not scheduled.

Other things to note
We uphold strict safety and operational standards for the good of our guests, our home, and our neighborhood. We have passed a city safety inspection to obtain our Tourist Home Permit. Our room capacity is legally limited to two adults; please do not request to bring infants or children.

Neighborhood highlights

We live in a desirable TC neighborhood that's safe and quiet, and we enforce rules to make sure that guests keep it that way. We have a big neighborhood park a quick walk to the north. Also minutes away on foot you'll find Bryant Park Beach on West Bay, or East Bay Park's sandy beach and wide lawn. Both are ideal picnic and swimming locations.

There is no lodging closer than our suite to the start of the Bayshore Marathon on Memorial Day Weekend!

All within a 10-minute walk: college and museum, free downtown shuttle stop (The Bayline), five parks, a few restaurants and sandwich shops, gluten-free bakery/coffee, local bagel shop, bank/ATM, a great wine shop, two coffee shops, and the Civic Center with its walking loop, sports fields, skate park, and indoor pool.
