Unfortunately we haven't met Liz because she wasn't in Tanzania during our stay. The apartment is as described: situated in a quiet side of Arusha, close to the city center (but not secure to walk around in the evening - though no problem during the day) and with all the basics you need for a short stay there: bathroom, bedroom and kitchen.
This was my first AirBnb experience and a GREAT way to start! I stayed at Liz’s place for a couple of days during a recent quick trip to Arusha from Dar. Liz was very gracious in accommodating me with just a few hours’ notice; she gave me a great tip on where to go for brunch and had the place prepped while I toured around. The apartment was just like how it was described on-line - very secure, comfortable and clean. Because it was such short notice, Liz also stayed at the apartment, but gave me full run of the place. She was very welcoming and inviting and on my last night took me along to hang out with some of her friends in town; a great group of folks doing good work in Arusha. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely try to stay there again on a future trip!
Appartment very well situated,in a safe place and very close to the city center. Liz welcomed us very kindly, and arranged also a guide for us!
We stayed at Liz's cozy apartment in Arusha for few days...it is very conveniently located to many museums and activities in Arusha (walking distance) and a very comfortable place. Liz was out of town, but her friend, Johnny, came by our hotel and picked us up and dropped us off at Liz's place...we would definitely recommend the place for one or two people visiting this wonderful country....
We had the privilege to meet Liz just before she left her apartment all for us. The place was clean and had all necessary items (like, toilet paper :-)) so we really didn't have to purchase anything. The apartment is conveniently located and within walking distance from many good restaurants or "raha" spots for free wifi. We enjoyed our stay sana! :-)
This place is comfortable and has all basics you need. Liz shares her stuff without limitation so you can feel home easily. Liz is moreover a very likeable person who is helping you in any matters. Just a few minutes away there is a small supermarket and a good coffeeshop/restaurant. You can also walk to the city centre in about 15 minutes.
Thus, I can definitely recommend this place.
Unlike other guests, we had the chance to meet Liz in person! She is an interesting and lively girl, leading a life that many will envy. Great room, comfy bed, clean towels, mosquito coils that worked miraculously (just remember to ask her for it before bed!). She gave us tips on our trip to Zanzibar and on local shopping/restaurants etc. Definitely recommended!
