The space
Ideal for a couple or a single traveller. SLOW TRAVEL is the way to go these days and we encourage guests to book MORE THAN ONE NIGHT so as to have the experience of walking through the 'bosco delle fate' (fairy forest) or enrolling on walks to do Forest Bathing, Wolf Howling or Night Picnic with Fireflies.
Now it is recommended to do the SLOW TRAVELLING and so please book at least TWO NIGHTS with us to not miss the opportunity to hike the fireflies, forest bath in the forest of fairies or snack with the wolf !

Where you’ll be

Chiusi della Verna, Toscana, Italy

DANTE mentioned it in 'Paradiso' , MICHELANGELO ascribed his genius to its pure mountain air and depicted it on the Sistine Chapel ceiling. St. Francis loved its remote and craggy grandeur. High up in the Appenines, the Tuscan hill-town of Chiusi della Verna has long been a favourite summer retreat for Italians attracted by its stunning location nestling below an ancient monastery and surrounded by truffle-rich beech forests, but it has remained slightly off-the-beaten track to foreign tourists. Now tapestry weaver Lynne Curran and David Swift, teacher, toymaker and collector of books & old roses, have moved from Scotland to establish their studios in a 900 year old house overlooking the Tiber and Arno Valleys, and here they invite travellers to stay in a unique medieval accommodation as well as providing them with a convenient base to explore this fascinating corner of Tuscany.
