My wife and I had a great experience at Sheoli's place. She was very friendly, welcoming and offered many useful suggestions on local restaurants and attractions. She even offered us a basket of fruit, beach blankets and mats. We highly recommend her home for anyone interested in visiting Kona, HI.
The accommodation was amazing with very comfortable furnishings and very well equipped . View over the ocean and well located just far enough out of condo-land (30 minute drive) and 15 minuted drive to best snorkeling spots. Sheoli was very welcoming and went out of her way to make us comfortable.
We found Sheoli's place convenient, quiet, clean, and private. The view looking down on the bay was wonderful, especially at sunset. The apartment was huge and very open, way beyond our needs. Funny the bathroom was as far as possible from the bedroom, but you wouldn't even notice that in a smaller place. She lives upstairs at the driveway level and the apartment is downstairs and opens out onto the small backyard. Sheoli was friendly and accommodating and loaned us snorkeling and body boarding gear. She helped us with local advice and arranging SCUBA and dolphin/whale watching. Kitchen was convenient and nicely equipped (except that she is opposed to microwaves). We are happy to recommend Sheoli's place over the big hotels down in Kailua.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Twin Dolphin retreat. Sheoli has created a lovely sanctuary of warmth and aloha. We felt very relaxed and loved the gorgeous ocean view! Sheoli was a wonderful host and we look forward to staying here again.
