Guest Access

You will have access to our entire home exept for the walk-in closet (used for storage). I may have a friend stop by and water the plants and garden while I'm away for longer periods. We will be sure to provide plenty of advance notice.

Interaction with Guests

We are more than happy to provide directions, advice, tips for getting around the city and the Bay Area, or just good conversation over a glass of wine. We have extensive knowledge of the city and can offer suggestions or info on the best routes.

The Neighborhood

We're located in a vibrant neighborhood; restaurants are plentiful, beaming nightlife, cafes, pubs, bars, grocery markets, shopping, museums, golf, biking, hiking, and the beautiful Golden Gate Park all nearby within a short walking distance. There are many Art, Wine and Music festivals held in the Golden Gate Park throughout the year. Live performances such as Shakespeare and Opera in the Park. San Francisco has weekly and monthly events all year-round including the Fillmore Jazz Festival, Outside Lands Music and Food Festival, North Beach, Union Street and the Haight-Ashbury Street festival as well as Off the Grid Food Truck and live music events held almost daily throughout the city. Farmers Markets are available 3 days a week and within walking distance.

The Golden Gate Park spans from Ocean Beach to the other end at Stanyan Street (2 blocks away from our home). An infinite amount of recreational activities available in the park including volleyball, tennis, golf, roller blading, archery, bike and boat rentals at Stow Lake. Catch free swing dancing for the public on Sundays. It's a great park to explore on foot, bicycle, car or the park shuttle.

"OFF THE GRID" Gourmet food truck event with live music nearby on Thursdays; Hours: 5pm - 8pm; Search the web for: "Off the Grid - Upper Haight".

From our home, take a short walk to the event for dinner and hang out among SF locals. There are 10-15 food trucks gathering in one place offering savory samplings of San Francisco's multicultural cuisine and locally produced homemade foods. LIVE music and ample seating available.

Afterwards, walk over to the Cole Valley district for a variety of wine bars, cafes and pubs. The hip nightlife is also nearby in the Haight-Ashbury district.

You can get just about anywhere in the SF Bay Area on the public transit system. Just ask and I'll let you know how to get there.

Bicycle rentals only 4 blocks away. Great way to get around and enjoy this amazing city.

For airport transportation, we recommend taking an airport shuttle or the BART train and 1 bus. Another option for faster transportation from the airport is UberX, Lyft driver services or a Taxi  for direct transportation to our home.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Randa was very nice and welcoming. She has a nice apartment and for the most part, it is as advertised. We rented her whole apartment. ...We do have one complaint. It was not listed anywhere in her posting there she has a pet or that a cat visits her apartment. There was cat hair on the carpets and beds, which would have been fine, but I'm allergic. I do think it's something that should have been mentioned in the posting...If you don't have a problem with cat hair, then this is a comfortable apartment to stay in.

  • Had a very nice stay at Randa's apartment. The place was exquisitely clean and a very good value for money. I really appreciated the fact that it came with a parking space right outside the apartment.

We work in city.
Hi there, We're native San Franciscans and enjoy everything this amazing city (and Bay Area) have to offer. We're outgoing, friendly and enjoy meeting new people from all over the world. My boyfriend and I are avid travelers -- have traveled to many countries for personal exploration and business. We use Airbnb to explore unique housing accommodations for a different experience than staying in hotels during our travels. Our hobbies include playing sports, martial arts, photography and scuba diving. We would like to open our home to guests who are visiting the San Francisco area. We live an excellent neighborhood with public transportation directly across the street. We're centrally-located with easy access to other great neighborhoods and San Francisco's most visited attractions. We're approximately 20 minutes away from the San Francisco airport by car or you may take an airport shuttle to our home for $17. We have extensive knowledge of the city and can help you plan daily explorations, going over maps and providing suggestions on the best routes and restaurants. We would be happy to assist you with booking day trips to Napa Valley Wineries, Alcatraz, and many other great destinations. We will make you feel right at home from the beginning to the end of your stay. Please feel free to message us if you'd like more information or have questions.
