Gelu'a place was awesome!!!! Seriously - exactly our style - very spacious modern and extremely clean. Gelu met us in his house when we arrived at Copenhagen (very helpful with directions) and showed us his place. It's a family home, and Gulu and his family stay downstairs. Common main entry but separate floors. Although it was a very spacious apartment, it still felt private. His bathroom was enormous! Beautiful, clean and modern. Plenty of shower gels/shampoos, as well as blow dryer. His attic windows throughout the top floor were both manual and automatic (the ones in living room closed automatically when it started raining :-)) and his blinds worked perfect. We woke up at 11am thinking it was still 5/6am! Lol. There was no kitchen, but he had coffee/tea ready for us if we needed. Also included two bottles of water. Although it's not exactly in a center of Copenhagen, we enjoyed his neighborhood. It's about 10 minutes walk to metro and then you can get anywhere you want within minutes. Even straight to the airport. Very nice neighborhood. About 5 minutes from his house is a beautiful place to have a breakfast or lunch - you can sit outside - their brunch special is the best! Everything about this place was perfect and Gelu was a great host!

Such a fantastic place to stay in Copenhagen! Gelu is in a wonderful neighborhood that had great coffee shops and access to a beautiful park in walking distance. Also very easy to walk into the center of town or take the bus. Highly recommend Gelu's wonderful place!

Gelu's place is drop dead gorgeous and in an amazing neighborhood. it is a 10 minute walk to the metro station where you can take a short 20 min ride to the airport, and right by major bus lines (i never took the bus). it is in a residential neighborhood so you really feel like a local, but a pretty fancy neighborhood it seems like. if you would rather live in the middle of the city where the sights are then you'll need to bear with the noise and tourists. my fav things: -gelu was a wonderful host -amazing amenities -gorgeous decoration -really high tech windows and night shades, you won't get any light if you don't want to! -amazing shower -free coffee/tea/bottled water -amazing recommendations of what to do, i went to almost every restaurant/bar that he recommended and had a great time!

If you don't need a kitchen, this is the place to stay. While other reviews are correct in the the space isn't 100% isolated from the rest of the house, the host and his family reside behind a closed door, and only the entryway is shared. AirBnB photos are often staged, but I can tell you: Gelu's photos match reality. Plenty of space, modern and clean, everything looks no more than a year old.

Gelu's place is even more beautiful than the pictures! There's a lot of space - it was the biggest bathroom we'd seen in Europe! It's a great neighborhood and just steps away from the bus stop. They even included a list of local recommendations for bars, restaurants, and attractions. Great place!

I extended my stay with Gelu and his family because I enjoyed the apartment so much, (see the review below). What I forgot to mention is how close his apartment is to all the tourist attractions and since Copenhagen is as flat as a dinner plate, it is easy to get around the area. The apartment is also very close to the mass transit system. Gelu and his family were great hosts and looked after my every need.
