This was my first Airbnb experience and it was great. A long time Marin County resident, I've always wanted to do an extended SF "getaway" not requiring me to drive back across the bridge at night. The place is exactly as advertised, well located close to Divisadero restaurant/nightlife quarter, and proximate by foot power to just about anything there is to do in SF. It is on the lower floor of a large Victorian with all amenities, including nice rear patio and separate entrance. Right across the street from Alamo Square Park which is a gem. Apartment is very spacious, not that you'll spend much time inside given SF is your front yard!
This is an amazing house in an amazing location with great views right near Alamo Park. It's hard to picture a more quintessential San Francisco location. The hosts were extremely nice, responsive and helpful. Check it out!
From beginning of booking process to living the flat Eric was courteous, prompt, and extremely attentive to all our needs. We would absolutely recommend when staying in San Francisco
Eric and Flora were both very responsive and welcoming, great hospitality. The apartment is centrally located on Alamo Square in walking distance of great neighborhoods. The only caveat is that they have a dog which is quite loud, but quiets down later at night.
Eric was very easy to talk to and ask for information regarding anything in the house and the city. The lower loft was very clean, modern, and spacious. I loved the full kitchen. We had no issues during our stay. I would definitely recommend Eric for future tenants.
Our family of four had a wonderful stay. Eric and Flora were very flexible on check-in time so we got settled in early and had all afternoon to explore. The place is very well outfitted, it was nice to have a private master bath that was clean and bright, as well as a half bath in the hall. The kids slept great on the convertible sofa. Its a great location with a short walk to Divisidero for breakfast, (email hidden)-Rite, and lunch/dinner options. Short walk to Filmore to take the bus all the way to the Marina, or a walk down Hayes to Hayes Valley and beyond. Would definitely stay here again!
My sister and I stayed at the flat during Christmas week, and were pleasantly surprised to have a decorated tree ready for us when we arrived! It helped make our stay very special.
The flat is as described and as pictured, and has everything needed to be comfortable. We were even able to have a family meal on Christmas Eve with my nephews, who live in the area. The location is superb - right across from Alamo Square, and perfect for our needs. Great access to public transportation, with stops for the 5 and 21 buses within 1 or 2 blocks.
Most of our communication with Eric was via email, and he was very responsive to messages and questions. Check-in was easy, with directions provided in advance in case the owners weren't home when we arrived, which was the case. I did get a chance to meet Eric - he was a very gracious host. He made sure we had everything we needed.
I've lived in San Francisco for 30 years and know the City and Northern California well! I am a graduate of Golden Gate University and work in the real estate industry. I like to spend time sailing and swimming in San Francisco Bay, hiking in the Redwood forests, and camping in the Sierras. My little dog (a Pomerainian Terrier) is the perfect companion! At the end of the day we both have an appetite and often enjoy the pleasure of cooking a wonderful meal with our guests!
