Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Eric and Flora were very accommodating hosts. They arranged for me to leave my bags at the house (before their usual check in time) and Flora remained available by text messaging whenever I had any questions. At one point, I had a small problem with something in the house and I texted Flora while on my way to work and she had it repaired by the time I got back home that same day.

This is a charming rental in great condition, in an excellent location - walk to the park, great restaurants, bus stop, etc. If you stay here, treat yourself to some of the best deep dish I've had outside of Chicago at Little Star Pizza, just a few blocks to the west on Divisidero.

  • I was in town for a convention in the Moscone and rather than paying top dollar at the downtown hotels I choose Airbnb for the first time. It proved to be an excellent decision. I felt I had a home rather than a room.

The house from the outside is absolutely stunning. People would stop in their car and take photos. Inside has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Clean and modern. Eric and Flora made me feel very welcome, while respecting my privacy.

With services like Uber it's quick and cheap to get a cab to wherever you need to go. I was from doorstep to the Moscone in $8 and 10 minutes.

I'd be happy to stay here again.

  • Really a beautiful home, and fantastic hosts. You'll be on the ground floor (staircase level). The place is spacious and clean. I barely saw the hosts, but when I did she was extremely nice and concerned about how my stay was going. You can't beat the neighborhood.

  • The weekend spent in this flat was amazing! It was in a beautiful area of the city, right across from Alamo square and was a perfect way to stay in the city as an out-of-towner and feel as though you are a local. The host was extremely accommodating and provided wonderful suggestions of restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance of the apartment. Being able to stay in the flat under their apartment gave my friends and I a ton of privacy without feeling like we were encroaching on the host's personal space. They were very thoughtful and left us with extra bedding, towels, and cooking supplies for when we wanted to feel like we were in our own home and cook a meal. Overall, this helped my friends and I have a lovely weekend in San Francisco and I would definitely stay here again!

  • I was coming to San Francisco for the day to visit family and do the sightseeing deal. I considered renting a hotel room but I have a small French bulldog & I thought I'd try out this website. I was a little cautious as I never used it before. Communication went wonderful with the host Eric and it was a quick transaction to book the flat for the weekend. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The house looked as it did in the picture and was beautiful. I was not able to park in the garage because my car was too big (I have a Toyota RAV4). But, there was street parking right out front. And the park across the street was gorgeous and worked out great with me having my dog. There is even an off leash dog area that I didn't know about so that a great surprise. When arrived I was greeted by the host's Eric's friend who was housesitting on a different level in the Victorian. He was very friendly and showed me where the key was, how to access the garage for my sister who was able to fit her Subaru in it, around that flat where the extra blankets were etc. The Flat had great upgrades such as the nice bathrooms, stainless steel kitchen appliances, large flatscreen, hardwood floors etc. It has a nice back patio deck area with table and chairs and very cozy. It was nice to be able to let my dog out there in the mornings before we went to the park across the street. There was fresh coffee beans and a nice coffee grinder and maker for us to use in the morning as well. The TV in the living room is nice and large to watch movies. The only downside is that the beds are futons and even though there is a mattress pad to use it's not as comfortable as a Hotel bed. And the air conditioning was a little loud as were hearing people walking above on the second floor but that wasn't all the time. It was nice having a full refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave etc. And there is a nice little market just around the corner that you can walk to which has anything you may need. For example, I went and bought creamer for the coffee. Lots of great bars and restaurants within walking distance and we tried a wonderful pizza place one night that was amazing. Master bedroom shower is awesome with upgraded showerheads. All in all we had a wonderful time. I actually even added an extra night and didn't leave till Monday I was having so much fun. I sent a message to the host and he was very accommodating and it was no problem to add an extra night. It's a great Flat, communication with the host was on point and I would definitely recommend and stay there again. I felt very safe secure and it was wonderful....

  • Very good experience in a cozy, and beautiful apartment in lovely Alamo Square. I didn't expect this experience to be so good.. Thanks to Eric and his friend Jeff as the caretaker!

  • We stayed at Eric's place for 4 nights and had a fantastic time. The location is prime. The house is very close to public transportation, restaurants and lots of bars. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! Enjoy!

  • Eric's and Flora's flat is, well, fantastic! Everything was great. My wife, 2 young kids, and I stayed there for two nights, and we didn't have one complaint. The flat was clean and comfortable. The location was fantastic. My 7 year old daughter kept asking me if we would stay there again the next time we were in San Francisco. My answer: Yes! I would recommend Eric's and Flora's flat to anybody.

  • Staying at the flat was a wonderful experience. Eric and Flora were extremely helpful about directions for public transportation to the flat and were very quick to respond to texts or emails. The flat is absolutely perfect and was very clean on our arrival. It is accessible and in the heart of the city. The house was fully stocked with a bottle of wine, coffee, towels, linen. My only suggestion--bring shampoo! Overall, it was the perfect weekend getaway. Highly recommend.

I've lived in San Francisco for 30 years and know the City and Northern California well! I am a graduate of Golden Gate University and work in the real estate industry. I like to spend time sailing and swimming in San Francisco Bay, hiking in the Redwood forests, and camping in the Sierras. My little dog (a Pomerainian Terrier) is the perfect companion! At the end of the day we both have an appetite and often enjoy the pleasure of cooking a wonderful meal with our guests!
