  • Peter went out of his way to make our stay memorable. We loved the hot tub and a tasty 5 course meal. To give an idea of cost Peter added up the cost of the total ingredients (for myself and my partner plus Peter and his wife), plus a fee for his preparation time. Peter got us involved in cooking and was keen to show us how he was making the courses. We enjoyed the company of Peter's wife Janice who is an outdoor enthusiast, and shared useful info about the Grand Canyon and inspired us with her adventures. We would recommend you need a car to stay here!

  • That was a great stay! The place is awesome, the room is nice and clean, the living area comfy and the hot tub perfect for relaxing after a long day out. We had very good conservations, tasted some good beer from Victoria and watched some great movie. Definately can recommondate staying here!

  • We had booked one night and stayed three nights! We had many discussions with Peter before we arrived and we were very well received. Peter and Janice were very friendly and helpful and very interesting. They advised us to go to PortRenfrew to see Botanical Bay and the beaches along the road and it was a good experience. We met a couple of friends of them, very nice and we were able to share a piece of cake with them. They were really great, they took great care of us and we thank them. It is recommended that warm welcome and we hope to see in France!

  • Great stay with Peter & Janice who were extremely accomodating from the excellent communication, help to get there ( picking us up and dropping us off:)), happily lending us bikes, providing info on what to do/where to go and having the lovely hot tub to finish the day under the shooting stars. This mountain retreat experience, our first with air bandb could not have been better. Thank you so much.

  • Peter and Janice were amazing hosts. We requested a vegan dinner when we arrived and sat down to five exceptional courses of culinary magic. Started with a salad and exquisite hummus and flatbread on the deck, and had deer wander within feet of us while we ate on their quiet wooded back yard patio. When it got dark, we finished the rest of the courses inside -- vegan ceviche, blissful cauliflower roti, perfectly simmered and seasoned ragout. We finished with freshly made homemade sorbets.

Conversation over that time was great and lively and our hosts very knowledgable about Victoria (as well as food!). They knew how to get around town and had great suggestions for what to see as we were first time visitors. The house was very clean, comfortable, homey and inviting - they put out a great spread with comfortable beds, huge towels and homemade soaps.

Amazing. We'll be back for sure.

  • Peter and his family were tremendously welcoming, letting us be part of their home and lives. The house/accommodation is amazing - very tidy and cosy, a super comfy bed, and lots of little details (e.g. hand-made soap). One of the highlights definitely is the whirlpool!
What will stick in our minds most, however, will be the way Peter and hs family constantly (!) went out of their way to make our stay in Victoria a most memorable and most pleasant one. Thank you, all!

  • This stay was an unexpected gastronomic treat! One minute I'm desperate to find a room to stay while taking in the Rock the shores concert and the next blessed by being accepted by Peter. His home is nestled in the woods but only 10 minutes from the city!
Besides having the luxury of the "anytime" hottub and super comfortable feather bed, the BEST was the breakfast selections!! Peter is an executive chef! My dairyfree prawn omlet was only surpassed by the locally made sausages - lamb mango curry, turkey cranberry, bison blueberry and chicken something -all very good! This all started with a fresh fruit salad topped with his homemade raspberry sorbet. Plus he has a expresso machine to make wonder coffees
Peter is very helpful with directions and anything else we needed.
We can well recommend this bed and breakfast to everyone!

  • We had a wonderful stay with Peter and his wife, both very agreeable hosts. The house, located 15 minutes away from Victoria, was not hard to find with the clear indications provided. The bedrooms and bathroom are set in a private corner which gives more privacy.
We particularly enjoyed Peter's great cooking and free sharing of recipes. Breakfasts were delicious with local products like duck and cranberry sausages, fisherman breakfast (char topped with smoked salmon), omelette farcie with crab, and French toasts like we'd never had before! We also opted for a 5-course dinner one night and were very impressed.
This is a must-stay for any food lover - a gastronomic adventure awaits you!

  • Peter and his wife were wonderful hosts to the three of us travelling on Vancouver island, which we enjoyed tremendously and with Peter's share of his knowledge of the area and his help booking another place we managed to visit a lot in 4 days. Peter's place is wonderful, peaceful and quiet. We had a fantastic meal cooked by him, a real chef he is. Had very nice wine as he knows how to pick them. We had a plunge in the hot tub on the wooden terrace. He made very good suggestions on where to go and how to plan our visit. We felt immediately part of the family and we recommend his place to future guests.
