The Neighborhood

In the spring and summer, locals flock in droves to the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin to picnic and strum guitars. Cafes and quirky boutiques flank the water and iron footbridges. On Sundays, two streets running parallel to the canal, Quai de Valmy and Quai de Jemmapes, are reserved for pedestrians and cyclists—perfect for renting a bike and seeing the city from a fresh angle. Another possibility is to take a tour of the canal by boat. Visitors of all ages should find something to love alongside the Canal Saint-Martin.

  • The host answer us very quickly. We didn`t have any problem in finding the apartment. The only problem we had is that the toilett paper run out and as Lea told us we had to buy it.
All the rest was great, we where two for a week in Paris and it was ok. Just to notice that this was on a 5th floor.

  • Excellent location. Great apartment. Perfect for a three day trip to Paris. Would recommend this place to everyone I know in Australia. Lea gave clear instructions on how to get there and answered all our questions. Laura met us at the appointed time to give us access and was very friendly and helpful.

  • The stay was great. Really nice little apartment with everything you need in a great part of Paris. The location is actually the main draw card as you are right next to the metro and with walking distance of some major tourist sites.

The apartment had everything you need and was back away from the street so it was nice and quite.

  • The apartment was wonderful, the utilities were great, and it was located near a metro station, making our holiday quite easy. There were many restaurants and shops nearby. The wifi was reliable, making it easy to share photos of our holiday with friends and family.

  • Lea was very helpful and welcoming. Just arrived there was a small problem with the hot water but Lea was very attentive and she had already organized an intervention that she has followed personally. The apartment was clean and equipped. A great stay!

  • Lea was great at communicating before our stay and her husband was very helpful when we checked in. We really liked the area - the only thing I would say is that there isn't a great view from the apartment which we expected from the photos.

  • Lea was so friendly and helpful and her little flat was amazing. I can only give her my best recommendations.

  • It's a very cozy apartment and in a great location. Lea is very friendly and she's easy to reach if needed. She gave us great recommendation for lunch spots! One thing though, it's some narrow spiral staircases that lead to the apartment so people with large luggages might find it difficult. It wasn't a problem for us and once we are in the apartment we felt very relaxed because of the simple but charming decor and comfy sofas and bed.
