All the previous reviews are correct. Perfect location, great apartment. However, Penelope was best of all!
She knows the hospitality industry, and is a foodie.
We did not need her after meeting, but she lives near.
We had a really nice week in CPH with my friends and family. The apartment is well located in the city center, close to parks, restaurants and shops. The street is very nice and quiet. We enjoyed a lot sitting in the roof terrace. Penelope was a good host - very positive and friendly. The house was peaceful and neighbors were very friendly, asking our boys to play on their terrace.
What a perfect place to stay! Just down the street from the center of the activities, and the Queens residence, we couldn't have been happier. Penelope was flexible for our arrival and very gracious. We needed some assistance at times and she ALWAYS answered her phone or called back within minutes. We hit the sunshine and flower season and Penelope had beautiful flowers everywhere. The internet requires a password for the living room and a different one for the bedroom (mentioned in a prior review) but once I set it up, we were always on the internet.
The patio is a perfect setting to enjoy the views. Highly recommended!
Penelope was a wonderful and friendly host. She had everything well prepared and organized for a comfortable stay (i.e. breakfast supplies, drinks, internet, stereo, massage appointment, etc.). She also provided great local recommendations for us in terms of restaurants/bars. The apartment was located on a quiet street yet in walking distance of so many sights. We also enjoyed the sunshine and tranquility on the terrace.
Excellent location and great host. It was a real pleasure staying at Penelope's penthouse.
Condo is very centrally located and is very comfortable. Will definitely recommend.
Penelope was very nice and helpful. She personally met us and showed us the apartment. It is more spacious than the pictures. It locates in very nice and quiet neighbourhood which is also very close to the main attractions and amazing cafes and restaurants. We walked everywhere from the apartment.
The only thing is Wi-fi is only strong in the living room area. When you are in bedrooms, you lose the connection completely! I
think that's because the wi-fi router is in downstairs.
However, overall we had amazing two nights in Copenhagen! :)
We just spent 4 days at this lovely Penthouse. The penthouse had a great balcony where we spent a lot of time. It even included a heat lamp to warm you up on the chilly evenings. The location was very central to most attractions. We walked to almost everything. Penelope recommended Cafe Oscar as a good restaurant and it is within a block of the penthouse. We enjoyed it so much that we visited it twice.
About the Host, Penelope
I am a hotelier by profession so hosting people is second nature. Being Mexican Canadian and having lived in eight different countries I have different perspective than most Danes, which is reflected in our home. We enjoy our home very much and focused on it being aesthetically pleasing, functional and cozy.
Our love for the culinary arts can easily be seen in our well equipped Kitchen, and is exceptionally supported by the quality of Restaurant offering in the neighborhood beginning with Sommelier restaurant below, which caters to our door.
Spring is stunning to take a walk in the park just a block away and see the cherry blossoms, as ships sail by the little mermaid. Amalienborg castle home to the Royal family is a couple minutes walk from our front door and the Royal Guard marches by our door once per day. Danes spend most minutes of sunshine out in parks or outdoor restaurants nearby, it is just as cozy to read a book on our private balcony or work on your tan line.
The summer days are endless and they begin on the balcony with a stunning sunrise. Bars and restaurants in the neighborhood have several world wide awards and you will never want for great food. The neighborhood is also well known for High end art galleries. Excellent supermarkets, and specialty stores can all be found less than a five minutes walk, as is Kongs Nytorv which is only two bus stops away, the bus stop is across the street and it is almost equally fast to walk, the metro to the airport is 19 minutes from there.
