Pine Creek Cottage overlooks Marsh Creek and Pine Creek at the base of the PA Grand Canyon. Walking distance to the Rails to Trails, Big Meadows Canoe Access Area and local Tavern. Approximately 10 miles from downtown Wellsboro PA.

The space
Come and enjoy Pine Creek and the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon at our unique creek side cottage! Our cottage is raised up on cement pillars with a unique "V" shaped layout. Large sprawling decks and a level yard area with a fire pit allow you to soak in the beautiful scenery and nature in the valley.

The cottage boasts an open floor plan with bedrooms at each end of main living space, each offering a queen bed. There are also two pull out sleeper sofas in the main living area. There are plenty of windows and views from every room with ceiling fans throughout. There are also A/C units in the main bedroom and living room. There are stairs to enter the cottage and it is not handicap accessible.

There are bikes, tubes, life jackets, and camping chairs under the house for guest use There is a storage bin with yard games, and fire pit accessories under the house. There is a fire ring in yard, picnic table under a shade tree, and a tire swing for the kids to enjoy. There may be extra cut fire wood under the deck from other renters, but if not you can buy some all along Route 6 or cut your own with the ax near the storage bin under the house. Larger logs are stacked in the tree line next to the steps. There is a gas grill on the deck for grilling and 2 deck tables with umbrellas. Hammocks are on the deck and under house for relaxing in.

There are plenty of linens, blankets, towels, toilet paper, and paper towels for guests. There is a Keurig and coffee maker for use along with ground coffee. We do not provide Keurig pods, but there is a refillable pod in the Keurig for loose coffee to be used in. We try to keep plenty of extra jugs of drinking water for guests to use, but the well water is fine to drink. There is a smart TV in the living room for use, but please do not purchase anything unless you leave money for it and let me know when you depart. We do have Wifi, but once in a while there is a bad storm that may know the internet out. Since we are in a very remote area it is sometimes difficult to get the internet company out right away, so there could be a few days without Wifi if this happens. Cell phone reception is also very limited.
The water in the cottage can have a sulfur smell when not used frequently. This will subside the more the hot water is used. Filters are changed regularly, but weather also plays part in the water smell.

Our property borders Marsh Creek and you may access Pine Creek by a trail on the creek side of the Red cottage or use the Big Meadows boat launch right next door to the property. I will have easy instructions to follow for creek access at the cottage. Depending on the creek level at the time of your visit, the creek access may be muddy/ sticky sand, so bring water shoes that are secure so you do not loose them.

Things to explore in the area include:
Pine Creek Rail Trail
Tubing, kayaking or tubing down Pine Creek
Hiking in the PA Grand Canyon
Cherry Springs State Park
Covered Wagon Tours

We do allow pets, but I must be notified and you must clean up after your pet and pay for any pet related damages to the property if something occurs. I do ask a $25 pet fee to be left on the table when you depart from your visit.

There are a total of 4 cabins on this point. The cabin that is not raised up is used as an Airbnb and is booked up with guests the majority of the time. The owner to this cabin asks that you ask permission to walk across the property to access the creek. The other 2 cabins are used by the owners every other weekend. The red cabin has given permission to walk next to their cabin to enter the creek. If no one is at the green cabin you may walk along their place as well to enter the creek, but if they are there then please ask permission. Please be respectful of their areas as well as ours.
