Located in magical Tulum on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, Avalon was designed and created with love as a peaceful haven amongst the trees; a comfortable home-away-from-home in which to relax, recharge and nourish the spirit. Conceived of and built by the owner, the apartments are set in the same grounds as her home, and include a shared pool area. The grounds are gated, walled-in and secure, and the buildings are nestled among the original jungle trees and wildlife.
Situated in the popular new La Veleta residential area on the south side of Tulum pueblo, it is a unique brand new self-catering rental option consisting of three comfortable apartments in one building; two 2-double-bedroom apartments with garden and open plan living space, and one loft studio with private roof terrace.
A short walk, bike ride or drive from the centre of Tulum pueblo, Avalon is a wonderful vacation rental option for those seeking peace and tranquillity. It is far enough away from the hubbub of town to relax and enjoy the jungle, but close enough for convenience, and a great base from which to explore all the area has to offer: incredible wildlife, fascinating archeological sites, pristine Caribbean beaches, breathtaking cenotes and caverns, lush jungle and peaceful lagoons, to name but a few ideas...
There are many nice restaurants and bars a short distance away, and a fully equipped kitchen / diner is provided in each apartment for home dining (or kitchenette in the case of the loft studio).
Natural therapies / treatments, yoga classes, massage, etc. can be arranged on or off site, and eco-tours happily recommended and arranged.
Having had the privilege to call Tulum home for around nine years, the owner is happy to share her local knowledge, contacts and tips. She will be pleased to try to accommodate any special requests you may have in order to make your stay as wonderfully memorable as possible.
Please note that this property is not suitable for party-seekers and there is a reason we don't provide TVs... We lovingly suggest you sit instead in front of one of our enormous jungle-garden-facing windows or under one of our beautiful trees if you wish to unwind at home. Avalon is about helping you to reconnect, rather than to disconnect! :) We also require that, as our guest, you comply with some simple house rules to help us minimise our environmental impact.
