Adding to the volumes of postive reviews for Mio san's listings. The apartment was as advertised, everything was clean and worked perfectly. Mio san definitely went the extra mile to make my stay comfortable by pointing me to places of interest and answering my gazillean questionzs patiently..
Very convenient location for getting to/from airports, and Mio was very helpful.
Mio was a fantastic host! She was incredibly helpful leading up to our arrival by giving us excellent directions to get to the apartment, met us when we arrived there, and explained how everything worked. She was even nice enough to show us around the neighborhood. She gave us a mobile wifi hotspot that we could use not just in the apartment but take around with us for the duration of the trip.
The apartment itself was also very nice. It was clean, had all of the amenities that we needed during our trip, and came with towels and other toiletries. The best part is the location – the apartment is less than a 10 minute walk from the Rappongi metro station and very close to great restaurants and nightlife spots.
I will glady try to stay at Mio’s place again next time that I visit Tokyo!
Mio was great, she was very communicative throughout the whole process, and provided clear instructions about how to check in. She also pushed back out check out time once she found out that the next guests will be arriving late.
Her apartment is in a central Roppongi location, and was very clear and had everything we needed!
Mio's apartment is in the heart of Roppongi, in an excellent location. You can walk to a lot of excellent eating places. Her apartment has all the amenities that you need to comfortably stay. She communicates very well and always answers all your questions instantly. Loved staying at her place. Would highly recommend.
Mio was kind enough to meet us at a nearby hotel and take us to the flat. It was less than a 5 minute walk and once there, she gave us a quick tour and showed us how to use the wifi.
The flat itself looked like the photo and it was very convenient having a washer/dryer. It is a few blocks from the Roppongi Hills mall and nearby is Family Mart & 7-11 in the event you are looking for snacks or left any toiletries at home.
The entrance to the flat overlooks a highway which is noisy, but once you are inside and close the doors (front door and foyer door), you really can't hear anything.
Portable wi-fi was super helpful. Bed is hard, but it is a matter of preference since I prefer it that way. The bed itself is a full size (though I think it may be even smaller) so we took turns sleeping on the sofa which was lumpy and your feet hang over (I'm 5'5). We were on vacation though and blessed to be in Tokyo, so no biggie. :)
I think this is a good size for 1, max 2 travelers, but very tight for any more people.
Thank you for your comment Anna. I'm sure you are used to very big American size room/hotel. also I should have told you to use the futon bedding or to place futon on a sofa then you can sleep comfortably. I am going to improve what you pointed it out. Thank you so much for your feedback.
For the future guest:
This apartment size is almost 40m2, normal hotel size in Tokyo is 10-20m2. I had family of 4 adults (mother + 3 sons, tall teenage boys) stayed here over a month and they were totally fine (see Michiyo's review) so I can say this place is enough space for up to 3 guests for sure.
about the bed, this is standard double sized bed in Japan. I had 20+ couples stayed so far and they were all fine. also I have thick bed padding if you prefer the softer bed.
Mio met us from the nearest subway station and got us settled into the apartment. The apartment is as listed. The portable wifi is really helpful and the area is full of bars, restaurants and shops.

Welcome to my apartment in central Tokyo & Hiroshima!
I am Japanese and airbnb 'super' host also having my own import business. I love hosting my room and meeting new people.
I travel a lot for myself as well. I spend around 1/3 of the year in Bali in these few years. I used to live in the US (study + work) in LA and NY. Tokyo is my base at the moment and would love to introduce this amazing city to any of you.
I will try my best to assist you to have the most comfortable stay. Please don't hesitate to ask me if you have any question!
