Great beach view. When it says, front beach view, it really means right at the front.

Franklin was an excellent host! Even though we arrived later than expected, he was waiting for us and even took us down to the Reggae bar for a cold one after our long drive. I would definitely recommend Pepe's Place to anyone looking to stay in Cahuita.

Wonderful location adjacent to beach, near live music, and a host who goes above and beyond.

We had such a wonderful time in Cahuita! Franklin and Marietta were so friendly and helpful, and made us feel right at home. The location of the cabin is fantastic - right across from the ocean, but with enough vegetation in front of it so that you feel secluded and private. The cabin is about a 5 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute walk to the main street (bus station, restaurants, etc.), and 15 minutes to the national park. We saw lots of wildlife right by the cabin, too, including howler monkeys and a mama and baby sloth. We stayed for a week, and there was just enough to explore in the area without feeling bored, or getting overwhelmed with trying to do too much. All in all, it was the perfect winter retreat! The only bad thing about our trip is that we had to leave to go home!

The location certainly is ideal, nestled into a forested cove on the Caribbean. And while Franklin, the proprietor, is kind and willing to assist in requests for basic items like toilet paper, this rustic and rusted cabin should have been cleaned and prepared for guest arrival. The cabin was filthy, had bedbugs, carpenter ants, termites, mosquitoes coming through holes in rusty screens and lacked basics upon arrival- like toilet paper, mosquito net, soap, towels, and a fan. Would not stay here unless you can confirm place is vermin free.

Franklin is very nice & accommodating. On our way to our first night there, we got stuck in a two hour traffic jam. (It was terrible) Franklin kept in touch and greeted us when we finally arrived. Franklin also has many great suggestions on what to do & where to go. One night he invited us to a dance show which was cool to see. As for the little rustic cabin, its kind of hidden and located right across the road from the ocean. It was awesome to hear the sound of the waves at night. The bed was a little too hard for my taste, but other then that, everything else was fine. The cabin is within walking distance to the park, restaurants, & shops. Even though we had rented a car, we did a lot of walking. For the money, this place is pretty perfect.
