  • I don't think I've ever seen a more thoughtfully-appointed lodging; everything we needed or could have wanted was there - including, as other reviewers have noted, ample, high-quality breakfast supplies. The space is large enough for a family of three to spread out and be comfortable and is laid out such that there really are discrete living areas, giving the feeling of separate living room, bedroom and kitchen spaces even in a studio. The efficient little kitchen is fairly well-supplied for cooking full meals, and the refrigerator easily holds a weekend's worth of ingredients. We were very comfortable here and would come back in a heartbeat.

  • We had a lovely time staying with Sarah in their rural Vermont home. The unit is entirely self-contained, well furnished and very cozy, yet fit our party very comfortably. Sarah was kind enough to have a host of little goodies (wine, eggs, bread) waiting for us in the unit's mini-fridge when we arrived, and we cooked two dinners for ourselves on the stove burners in the room's kitchenette. The view from the frontward-facing windows out across the property and down into the valley below was breathtaking, particularly on the sunny, chilly mornings we spent at Sarah's. I would highly recommend staying with Sarah and we will definitely try to return the next time we find ourselves in central Vermont.

  • My boyfriend and I rented Randy's studio apartment for a recent weekend. First thing: It's not a studio. It's huge! It was spacious and warm and so inviting. He even stocked the fridge for us. And he has the BEST DVD collection. It was the perfect place to come home to after spending the day exploring the region. We will definitely stay there again! Thanks, Randy!

  • Lovely, clean place in a breathtaking location with a comfortable bed. We were greeted by a delicious loaf of bread and preserves. Would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Vermont.

  • Me and my family's stay at Sarah's place in Vermont was immensely comfortable and relaxing. It was large enough for my husband, our two small children and me to sleep comfortably with room for yoga or some sort of morning exercise.

The space has lots of light, a very cute kitchenette and bathroom. This was a gem of a find! The studio was conveniently located close to my school (Goddard)only a 10 minute drive! It was lovely to drive by the open fields and our children enjoyed seeing the sheep and cows as we passed by!

I was deeply appreciative of Sarah's patience with me and my family. Another person had inquired about the space at the same time as me and would have stayed longer than I. Sarah checked in with me to confirm my interest instead of going for potentially more money. I deeply respect people who demonstrate that level of integrity and highly recommend the studio to anyone.

I look forward to renting this space again soon.

  • We had a lovely stay in this beautiful studio apartment. Our hosts Sarah and Randy were welcoming, thoughtful, and generous. We enjoyed the french press coffee, organic black tea, fresh eggs, wholegrain bread, butter and jam for breakfast. Panoramic views, morning mist settling in valleys under green mountains, quiet surroundings, and starry night skies...

  • We had such a nice stay in Sarah's beautifully furnished apartment. It was lovely to be welcomed by all the things you want for a weekend, including coffee, tea, bread and eggs and even local honey. We were pleasantly surprised by the collection of DVDs and books as well as the local maps and magazines (Vermont Life, 7 Nights, that kind of thing) that helped us plan our time.
The apartment itself is absolutely lovely and very homey. The view is also fantastic, we really enjoyed watching the sunset over the mountains. We are city people and were a little worried about being on a dirt road, but it's very well maintained and the paved road is less than 5 minutes down the hill. We didn't notice any effect on our white rental car.
    Thanks for a lovely stay!

We are a couple in our 50s with two teenaged daughters. I am an environmentalist (Yale Class of 80) working on national and international issues from home, and my husband is a composer (UNH, Bennington) who works at Bennington College. We have family in France, have lived in France and I speak fluent french. We live on a hilltop with spectacular 300 degree mountain views, with 57 acres of fields and woodland that guests can hike/ski/ snowshoe around as they wish. Our town has two restaurants, a food coop (grocery), a wonderful used bookstore, and craft gallery. Many more amenities (movies, theater , restaurants, more bookstores) are found in Montpelier - the smallest state capital in the US - which is only 7 miles away. We provide coffee, tea and some breakfast goodies (local bread, bagels, butter, jam) so you don't have to shop before you arrive, and our local food coop - a few miles down the hill - has pretty much all the foods and beverages you might need -lots of them from local farms. Please Note: We don't accept reservations from folks without a full profile and photo - so please make sure you've filled those out before asking for a reservation, to make things simpler. Thanks!
