We had a lovely time staying with Sarah in their rural Vermont home. The unit is entirely self-contained, well furnished and very cozy, yet fit our party very comfortably. Sarah was kind enough to have a host of little goodies (wine, eggs, bread) waiting for us in the unit's mini-fridge when we arrived, and we cooked two dinners for ourselves on the stove burners in the room's kitchenette. The view from the frontward-facing windows out across the property and down into the valley below was breathtaking, particularly on the sunny, chilly mornings we spent at Sarah's. I would highly recommend staying with Sarah and we will definitely try to return the next time we find ourselves in central Vermont.
We had a great time staying at Sarah's place. The studio was really clean. The location is really great to discover a lot of different things. We will recommend to anyone to stay there. Thank you very much.
Sarah and Randy were wonderful hosts. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and they left us a bottle of wine and a loaf of fresh bread, as well as a few items for breakfast and maps of New England. The apartment also has lots of books and some DVDs which are great for relaxing in the evening. The bed and pullout couch both sleep very well, and there are spectacular views from all the windows. It's also very quiet since it's in the countryside. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it. It looks just like the pictures.
We really enjoyed staying in Sarah's loft! It is in a beautiful setting and was a relaxing and quiet place to return to after a day of viewing the changing leaves, maple sugar farms and attending my daughter's graduation! If we ever get back to Vermont we will certainly try to stay here again.
We stayed at the O'Brien's apartment for a long weekend with our 3 boys, ages 11, 10, and 2 and everyone had a great time! The property and surrounding scenery is absolutely lovely: a large grassy clearing surrounded by tall northern trees. It is far enough away from everything that you can see the Milky Way in the sky at night, but close enough to Montpelier and Barre that you can find stores and restaurants without any trouble. Having a small kitchen available in the apartment was a plus with 3 kids to feed...and you can't beat the view of the mountains when looking through the kitchen window. Sarah was out of town on a business trip when we visited, but Randy was a great host while we were there. We will definitely consider staying here again!
Beautiful part of a lovely state. Nice and private apartment. Roomy. Had everything we needed. The hosts left us bread, wine, coffee, tea, lots of bottled water. We would stay here again if we return to this part of Vermont. Thank you Randy and Sarah.
Sarah and Randy are wonderful hosts and what an amazing, quiet and beautiful corner of the world. So many thoughtful touches in the apartment from a variety of teas to the basket of DVDs. Our weekend was the perfect combination of quiet retreat and springboard to exploring Vermont. Thank-you Randy and Sarah for hosting us.
Sarah's place was delightful! For some reason I pictured it on a second floor in a house near other residences. I was pleasantly mistaken. The apartment is attached to their main house on a beautiful quiet property with stunning views of the mountains and valley. It had everything we needed and we appreciated the fresh bread and blueberries left for us. We spent two days in/around Plainfield, exploring Montpelier and the surrounding areas. I'll definitely recommend it to friends!
We stayed for two nights in this beautiful and cozy appartement, it was just perfect for my family to relax in the countryside, playing cards, enjoying the nature and the woods, and plan the next days of our 3weeks vacation in New England. We felt like at home, there was enough space for the four of us, everything we needed was here (even food for breakfast and a REAL bread!) or we could ask for (we needed a larger pan for cooking) from Sarah and Randall who were nice and helpful. Thanks again!
