Experience our timeless island in a village dating back 2000 years! Close to mountains and sea, this comfortable, well decorated house is a great base for relaxation & exploration. Ancient & Medieval ruins, lovely nature- all a short stroll away.
Charming stone house with shared courtyard. Sitting room/kitchen downstairs (with single futon), double bed and bathroom upstairs. Yoga/dance studio use available on request. Situated in Fasoula village center, in the Troodos foothills, a 10 minute drive from downtown Limassol and the beach, and 20 minutes to the mountains.
Ideal for people who would like to experience real Cyprus village life. Handy location for hiking, biking, birdwatching, exploring the many archaeological sites, writing. painting, or just relaxing!
Unless you want to just relax, hang out with the locals in the village square, walk in nature and eat at the excellent village taverna you will need to rent a car, as the bus service to the village is not very regular. But, parking is easy, the 10 minute drive up from Limassol is pretty and there is a back road that goes to the higher mountains.

Interaction with Guests
I travel often myself but if I am in Cyprus I'll meet you on your arrival. If I'm not around a friend will help you settle in. We will be accessible if you need us but otherwise stay our of your way.
The house is in a real Cypriot village. Not much has changed in the village square for decades...life for the men centres around the coffee shop and for the women, the church. There are lovely walks in the hills and valleys around the village. Have dinner at an excellent Taverna - Areti - with the BEST potatoes in the world! ( I'm not kidding!)
Unless you want to stay put in the village you will need a car. (or a bike IF you are very fit - the village is about 500 m above sea level !)
No smoking. Lots of smiling.
Please don't take the bathroom towels to the beach - there are beach towels - you may use those!

My Boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at Francesca's wonderful stone house. We found bread cheese and yoghurt on entering to welcome us, we sadly never got to meet Francesca as she was away, but the place was really cosy and the village small and quiet. The local restaurants food was fantastic we eat there three times! We used Fasula as a base so we could explore some of the things we love. We had great days and always looked forward to our return to the place each evening. The house had everything that was needed to make us comfortable, parking was easy just round the corner. I would certainly recommend the place to family and friends. I was born in Cyprus and love coming back when I can to visit. Thank you Francesca. Phil and Yeon
The house was perfect, with lots of unique details. The place is spectacular and the villagers are welcoming and friendly. We had an opportunity to witness a great jazz jam in a nice next door tavern. An ideal place for those who travel by car.
This was exactly what we looked for. It was perfect. An amazing spot very comfortable, very spacious. We really enjoyed our stay. It was a good base to explore different places around the island and for itself it was located in a nice quiet spot. We had everything we needed and more. The guide books were very helpful. I am planing to recommend about Francesca R place to whomever.

This house was our little paradise for the 3 night of our stay, very cosy and charming we enjoyed spending time there with our little girl. Francesca was a perfect host, extremely reactive by email and very helpful when we were planning our trip , she even arranged us a bed for our baby.
As the others guest advised, we had all our diners in the taverna next door and discovered a lot of delicious Cypriote specialities there.
Fantastic studio. Francesca is wonderful. If you want something not touristy, its the place.
The Fasoula village is a great place to stay. The atmosphere is unforgetable. Francesca's apartment is unusual, very nice furnished and artistic. The coutyard - really romantic. 100% better than a hotel.
Hope we have a chnace to come back some day. Thank you very much, Francesca!
A lovely well kept place in a nice litttle village. From here you can go hiking in the trodoos-mountains. The way to the city and beaches are short (you need a car though). We enjoyed also the little café Mar Mia around the corner with occasional Outdoorlivemusik, a nice littleTaverna with good food and fair prices. There´s also a little shop next door to buy the neccesary. Francesca and Igor are great hosts, very helpful and welcoming.
It were fantastic two weeks!
I was born and raised in Northern California but have lived in Cyprus for many years. I renovated several old stone houses in the village where I live to use for art, yoga and as a gathering place. The apartment is for guests and workshop leaders.
I am interested in holistic therapies, and am a Reiki & biofeedback practitioner. I practice yoga and Tai Chi, enjoy Zumba, painting, making mosaics, and playing the djembe & frame drum. I enjoy traveling and meeting interesting people.
