The Danish love of form, style and comfort fills every room of this sunny ground floor apartment in a 1950's cottage on Hudson's Union Street.
Drive in the driveway, park your car and enter a world we created to make your visit to Hudson as laid back and enjoyable as a visit to wonderful Copenhagen. A large comfortable living room, two cool bedrooms, a cosy study give way to a sizeable kitchen with an enclosed porch dining room.
Parking off the street for at least two cars.
A couple of minutes walk takes you to Warren Street, the antiques shops, art galleries and some of the best restaurants in Hudson, Bonfiglio & Bread for morning coffee and croissant, Le Gamin Country for lunch, Crimson Sparrow for dinner, within 2-5 minutes walk away. Of course, further down Warren Street there are many other choices to discover and delight you.
And if you wish to relax at home, TV and WiFi in every room. Neflix and Hulu Plus are included. Upper Union is a quiet, safe, residential neighborhood and also is within walking distance to Amtrak, the River Front Park and Basilica Hudson art and performance space.
Kim and Jennifer have lived in Hudson for 20 years and have loved every minute of it. It's an amazing City and we hope you'll fall in love with it as we did.
Other Things to Note
The apartment is not suitable for children.
We had a great time staying in lovely Hudson. Kim is an excellent host and went out of his way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The milk, croissants and bread were a nice welcoming touch too. The apartment itself is cool, homely and mellow, filled with good-looking furniture, beautiful antiques, interesting books and paintings. We loved hanging out in the dining room in the evenings and catching the last of the evening sun. In warmer weather, the picnic table out back is probably a really nice place to have a morning coffee or a glass of wine or two. Comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen were also much appreciated. All in all, a fantastic stay. Thanks Kim!
We so enjoyed our stay in Kim's beautiful home. Everything was just as described and we felt privileged to staying in such a wonderful home full of such interesting pieces. Kim made us feel so welcome and were incredibly helpful in helping us get to and from the station. Hudson is a delight: great restaurants, lovely stores to explore, stunning countryside. Thoroughly recommend.
My boyfriend and I were in town for a wedding. We loved staying at Kim's house. The place was beautiful, charming and cozy. One block away from all of the great amenities on Warren St. Kim was a great host and even welcomed us with fresh croissants. Compared to other options in Hudson, this place was a steal.
This apartment is a perfect place to stay with friends or family while visiting Hudson. It is filled with lovely antiques and other fun things to look at, and it is super comfy to hang out in! The apartment is very roomy (and HUGE kitchen!) so there's lots of space for all of the guests to hang out comfortably. Great part of town, about a 5-15 minute walk to the main parts of Warren St (depending on where you're going). Kim went out of his way to get us everything we needed and make us feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place again!
We had a wonderful 2-day stay in Hudson. The property was convenient to town, comfortable and had everything we needed. Kim was a wonderful host, he provided us with juice, milk, coffee and pastries when we arrived, a welcome surprise! There were also maps and guide books for anything we could have wanted. Thanks again Kim!
Awesome house. It has everything you'll need and more - also it's super conveniently located. Would definitely rent again!
We were fortunate enough to find this listing and stay in Kim's beautiful house. It is stunningly decorated with antiques, which can sometimes feel imposing or stuffy, but Kim's taste is impeccable. It had a very open, spacious and airy feeling. Jennifer (Kim's wife) was a great host, providing us all the information we would need about Hudson.
In addition to the beautiful decor, it also had every practicality you could think of: wifi, smart TVs, air conditioning and location, location, location! This house is also desirably located close to shops and restaurants in Hudson. My only regret is that we could not stay longer to enjoy everything Hudson has to offer. I definitely want to come back and I will likely base it around the availability of this house because I loved it so much!
