And if you wish to relax at home, TV and WiFi in every room. Neflix and Hulu Plus are included. Upper Union is a quiet, safe, residential neighborhood and also is within walking distance to Amtrak, the River Front Park and Basilica Hudson art and performance space.
Kim and Jennifer have lived in Hudson for 20 years and have loved every minute of it. It's an amazing City and we hope you'll fall in love with it as we did.
Other Things to Note
The apartment is not suitable for children.
The house was a perfect venue for a long weekend in the Hudson River Valley. The description and pictures matched the actual house and it was very pleasant and comfortable for four people. Jennifer Arenskjold met us at the house upon arrival and was very helpful in getting us settled in. I would definitely return on a future visit.
My husband and I spent a 3 day weekend in Hudson (our first time there) and stayed at Kim's lovely house. Kim was a very nice host and even gave us pastries from a local bakery. The house was very clean and well maintained, and very thoughtfully designed. Also the location of the home was very nice - it is just one block over from Warren St. on a nice residential road, located at the "top" of Warren St. We didn't have to use our car to get anywhere in Hudson that weekend. If you're planning a trip to Hudson you can't go wrong staying at Kim's!
The house was perfect for the four of us. Kim provided us with pastries, coffee, milk and juice. We were very comfortable and the place was very clean. Perfect distance to walk into town or to get out of town by car. I would definitely recommend this location.
This is a simply wonderful place to stay! Kim was as lovely as his home. My spouse and I stayed for two days. We took the train up from NYC, walked to the home, and were in heaven: instant retreat! Along with the beautiful interiors (we loved the sun-drenched dining room and over-sized living room) we also enjoyed sitting in the front yard (surrounded by flowers) and lounging in the back yard (listening to birds). Close to everything you need but with a distinct suburban feel, we will definitely be returning!
I chose this house to introduce my parents to airbnb, and it did not disappoint.
Kim was there to greet us when we arrived--which I very much appreciated! As other reviews mentioned he provided delicious fresh croissants, and the pantry & fridge were stocked with coffee, tea, milk, and juice as well. That made mornings a no-brainer.
As for the house itself, the pictures do not do it justice. The size was perfect for 4 people. The mattresses were high quality and everyone slept well.
The house is located a stone's throw from Warren Street where you can begin exploring the mile long stretch of antiques, galleries, & yums.
Kim's place was ideal for us for the weekend. It was in easy walking distance of all the shops in Hudson, had plenty of parking and was private. We were in town for work and needed a comfy place to crash and it was great. The house is spacious, and very well decorated. The pictures don't do it justice. Kim also left us coffee, OJ and croissants-- which was un unexpected surprise and saved us when we had very early wakeups.
We had a great time staying in lovely Hudson. Kim is an excellent host and went out of his way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The milk, croissants and bread were a nice welcoming touch too. The apartment itself is cool, homely and mellow, filled with good-looking furniture, beautiful antiques, interesting books and paintings. We loved hanging out in the dining room in the evenings and catching the last of the evening sun. In warmer weather, the picnic table out back is probably a really nice place to have a morning coffee or a glass of wine or two. Comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen were also much appreciated. All in all, a fantastic stay. Thanks Kim!
