Also, we'll provide for soap, hair-dryer, and basics for the kitchen: coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Note that we'll provide this things just once, right when you arrive.

Interaction with Guests

Although we live close by, we will respect your privacy.
Our studio is located in colonia Escandon, just two blocks away from trendy Condesa. We really love our neighborhood, since it has a very small town feel, with family life. Just a few blocks away, you can find plenty of small shops selling vegetables, fruit, meat, poultry, bread, and almost anything you’ll need.
Trendy places, run by neighbor owners begin to appear, and add to the mix of this wonderful area. Just a block away you’ll find our very favorite café, run by a very nice family, with great ice-creams, great coffee, and delicious pastries and chocolates (yes we do have a sore spot for sweets).
Please note that the neighborhood is really safe.
Within three to ten blocks, average of 5 to 15 minute walking distance you’ll find lots of transportation options:
º Metrobus línea1 (Nuevo León Station), and línea 2 (Escandón and Nuevo León Stations)
º Subway (Patriotismo and Chilpancingo Stations)
º Ecobici public bicycle system.
º There is no washer or dryer but a laundry place is a few blocks away.
Please feel free to ask for any directions, we’ll be happy to assist.
Other Things to Note
Regardless to say climate and ideal temperature is very personal, depending on where you are coming from, please note that there is no central heating in Mexico. We believe our place to be mostly warm, to be more accurate, temperatures vary between 17ºC and 27ºC, year round. We live on the same building, and have experienced the worst cold ever, with a 15ºC temperature; nothing that your warm comforter or a good sweater during cold weather can’t deal with. We are reluctant to provide a heater since it is really not friendly with our environment.
We provide for one of the best available internet connections, but it does fail in providing the full speed, every now and then.
We seldom receive guests with a car, and that is why we don’t include a parking space. But we could definitely get you a parking spot half a block away with an extra fee.
We have been renting this studio for over a year, and had almost never had trouble with water shortage, or anything, but if you ever experience any problem please let us know immediately so we can promptly assist you.
Elevator gets maintenance once a month and will not work for up to four hours when this happens. We’ll let you know in advance, in case you dread to climb five flights of stairs.
º We do live in a nice community within our building. Neighbors are very respectful, and pretty much we keep to ourselves, so we will not tolerate all night long parties or very loud music/noise particularly during the week between 10 PM and 9AM.
º Smoking is NOT permitted inside. Only on the balcony or Roof Terrace.
º We expect to receive our things in the same condition as we delivered.
º As a rule we consider checking out at 12PM, but we will be flexible if we are not expecting guests on the same day.
º Building separates trash: plastic, paper, glass, etc, but we are allowed to at least split it between organic and non organic - you are provided with two bins for this purpose; both are to be left in it’s bags with the doorman.
º If the buzzer rings, and it’s not for you, PLEASE LET NO ONE IN.
We had a great time in Mexico City! The apartment is in a great part of the city. It was super easy to walk to a ton of spots or take the metro. There's also a shared bike stop down the street with dedicated bike lanes that go all over.
The apartment was super clean and Tania helped us out with whatever we needed, even fixing the cable.
We highly recommend it!
Nuestra estadía fue fenomenal. El departamento esta bien ubicado y en un barrio muy seguro. La habitación está cómoda y muy limpia. Se lo recomiendo a cualquier persona que desea quedarse en el DF.
Our stay was phenomenal. The apartment is centrally located and is in a safe neighborhood. The studio was comfortable and clean. I recommend this place if you are visiting DF.
Tania was a wonderful host and I loved the apartment! Such a great neighborhood, very easy to walk around and lots of yummy restaurants. Tania and her family were excellent hosts, from receiving me late at night when my plane got in to going out of their way to make sure I had an early morning taxi on the day I left. I would very strongly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Mexico City and I hope to be able to visit again someday myself!
Thank you Tania!
We had a wonderful time! Tania and her husband were so thoughtful and helpful. We arrived scummy and starving to a delicious baguette and cheese in the fridge, which was so appreciated :)
The recommendations provided were very helpful, as we didn't know our way around at all, and needed somewhere to go on that first night. They let us know from the beginning that they were available if we had any questions, and even called a cab for us to the airport on our way out, when our Uber app wasn't loading.
The apartment itself is exactly as listed, it's very cozy and the perfect size for two travelers on a budget. We found the neighborhood to be exactly what we were looking for as well...a short walk to the transport of the metrobus and subway, and still quiet enough to relax in at the end of a long day in the city's frenetic energy.
Very good experience, and we will definitely stay here again next time we're in DF, which will hopefully be soon!
Very nice and clean place. Close to places to eat and a very homey atmosphere. Tania was very helpful with our stay. Thank you so much!
