  • Mary and Roger made my wife and I feel at home with them. They took every opportunity to make our stay more than enjoyable.

The location and setting for their home is unique - a fountain, gardens, and coy pond in a home they built. And did I mention Roger's famous pancakes on Sunday. Wonderful.

    You will enjoy every minute...

  • Our experience was exceptional and we would highly recommend the Leith home for alternative lodging. The host and hostess are helpful concerning local activities and sightseeing, but never intrusive. There are many thoughtful details: snacks and beverages in the 'frig'; fruit in the bowl; bath mat for the shower; clothes line for wet towels and clothes; use of the pool in its serene and peaceful backyard setting. I find few truly clean hotels, but I noticed that the Leith home is truly clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable as well. A separate entrance makes it possible
to return late at night without bothering anyone. They know how to give of themselves in order to create a truly comfortable space. This home is a short drive to Cape May with its beaches, bike rentals, cute shops, theatre, fishing, and fabulous restaurants. The inns in town were either full or too expensive to suit my last minute plans. Airbnb to the rescue! There are many places nearby as well such as a zoo, nature trails, lovely gardens, and a great yoga studio.

  • We're really not surprised with all the great reviews Roger and Mary have gotten. They were very kind hearted and generous. It was great to spend two nights there, it feels that they really enjoy what they're doing. We used the pool, made some popcorn and picked some pears right off the tree, we felt right at home. It was a quick drive to the beaches. We are looking forward to visiting again next year.

  • Welcoming, clean, quiet, comfortable, relaxing, equipt. Roger and Mary have thought of most everything to aid in comfort and enjoyment. They provide choices in foods, hot and cold drinks, sweeteners, even salts! They graciously accommodated any requests we had. The pinicle of hospitible hosts! Their home is very convenient to many shore points and activities. Since those who bless others will be blessed in return, Roger and Mary will undoubtedly be abundantly blessed. We feel we surely were having met them and shared time in their home for five days.

My husband and I, along with two friends, stayed with Mary and Roger so we could attend a wedding in Cape May. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable with lots of extras. There is a Keurig coffee maker that they keep replenished with filtered water and plenty of coffee and tea options. They also have a small fridge stocked with juice, bottled water etc, along with fruit and packaged snacks. There were lots of brochures and directions for restaurants and attractions in the area, especially birds and wildlife. All this is in a comfy common area outside the three bedrooms. It was nice for early risers to be able to get up, make coffee, and move around without disturbing others. I can’t say enough about their lovely big yard and gardens, not to mention the impressive Koi pond. (Who knew Koi could get that big?!) Roger and Mary are friendly and available without being obtrusive. Roger stopped by a few times to see if we needed anything, reminding us that there was an iron and ironing board in case we needed it as we got ready for the wedding. We feasted on his special blueberry pancakes on our last morning and enjoyed the opportunity to get to know him and Mary a bit more. All in all, it was a great weekend and we would be happy to return!

  • I stayed here with a friend for a wedding that was near by - and what a good decision it turned out to be! Mary and Roger were excellent hosts. The room and property were lovely, especially the yard!! The drive to the beach was easy. I highly recommend staying here - in fact my friend and I vowed we would come back!

  • Mary and Roger were beyond gracious, caring and bent over backwards to be welcoming. It was my first air bnb experience. Roger went out to the local supermarket and brought me strong coffee!!! Their house is amazing. The sunday pancakes were amazing. They are incredibly kind people and devoted to making the air bnb experience special. The location is a short drive to cape may and nearby towns and the price is much more affordable. It was a pleasure and it's hard to believe this experience could be topped!

  • Mary and Roger are wonderful hosts! I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy their beautiful backyard, the hummingbirds and the Sunday morning pancakes. They are incredibly kind, welcoming people. The accommodations are clean and quiet. I especially appreciated the bowl of fresh fruit and mini fridge stocked full of various snacks and beverages. I would recommend that anyone who is in the area stay at Birds and Breakfast, and I hope to return some day when I am back in the area. Thanks Mary and Roger!

  • We spent 3 nights at the beautiful superclean friendly property of Mary & Roger. It was so nice meeting them. They are superfriendly openminded hosts. We felt at home immediately, we could use their swimmingpool :-) we enjoyed the ' puppies' and the chick - magnet ( for insiders ) it is a nice place to stay and relax, it's also a nice place from where one can make beautiful tours and 10 minutes away from the oceanbeach. We hope to come back once!
