You are not going to be closer to the centre of town than in this lovely oak floored room. A mixture of contemporary and vintage features give the room great character and style. To make getting around Cambridge a pleasure, a guest bike is included.
This spacious and light room is full of character with great pictures, furniture and fittings. I enjoy collecting interesting items like trunks, vintage lights and old packing crates, so have filled the room with such items to make it feel a little different and make your trip more memorable.
Overlooking the garden there's a lovely view outside as Spring turns into Summer, beyond the gardens you can see some of the most beautiful Victorian streets in Cambridge.
The room accommodates 2 people sharing a bed, plus there is an additional camper guest bed and bedding if needed for a third guest.
The main bed is a high quality king size bed with plenty of storage space underneath, as well as drawers for your use and black out blind as well. A bathroom with great shower is available for use, and clean towelling for two is provided.
I have provided a Apple Airtunes stereo system which makes streaming music from any iPhone or iPad device really simple and if you have any other music device you can plug it in to the stereo provided.
Finally, the room has both a smoke detector and a carbon monoxide detector to give you peace of mind.
You have complete access to;
Bike and combination lock
I prefer to keep the living area for my own use as I sleep downstairs where as you will be upstairs.
Most days of the week I will be at home too, so can be on hand for any questions you might have. It is only myself living here, although I occasionally let out another room to guests.
Nestled in the Castle area of the city you will be staying in a really historical area of Cambridge. Castle Hill is full of interesting shops, architecture and history including the famous Castle mound which is the highest point in Cambridge giving great views over the city. This blog gives an idea of some other sights within a 10 minute walk from the house;http://(email hidden)(phone number hidden)/a-tour-around-castle-hill-cambridge/
My road itself, well, I don't know of any other area which is so close to the centre yet so quiet - no pub kickouts keeping you awake. The 20mph streets in the area are barely used as they are not through roads. If you are after food or drinks, there is a lovely pub about 5 minutes away called the Carpenters Arms, and world famous pubs like The Eagle are no more than 12 minutes walk away. You are also very very near Magdalene Bridge where you can taking a punting trip which I highly recommended.
5 minutes walk to major bus stops taking you to the train station which is situated a couple of miles from the centre of Cambridge. Apart from the station, everything else of interest in Cambridge is easily accessed on foot from the house.
Incredibly near Fitzwilliam College - less than 5 minutes walk so great for graduation ceremonies.
If you want to check out other villages like St Ives, the house is near guided bus way stops.
I can provide free on street parking - just ask.
Very clean room and great hospitality

Nice stay at Graham's in Cambridge ! The room is nice and the neighbourhood is calm so you can sleep in. It is also close to a few supermarkets and there are a couple nice pubs around.
Graham's house was in a very convenient location and the room was very clean and spacious. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
An ideal place for what I needed! Thanks Graham!
The room was very clean and comfortable, and the walking to the city centre was really quick, as I was hoping for. Graham has been very pro-active to arrange my arrival, and provided all the help and explanation I needed; much appreciated.
We stayed with Graham for three nights and the room provided everything that we needed for a short stay. We were able to do our laundry and we were offered free use of the kitchen for our own cooking. Graham was also helpful in providing advice on where to go in Cambridge.
We had a nice trip to cambridge with help from Graham. The room is big and comfortable. It is located near Girton college which is ideal if you are going to visit the college. Thank you Graham for picking us up at train station and sending us to the college. Your help is much appreciated.
Hy everybody, gryan was a great bnb, bed confortable, wifi and usefull advice ! Close to the city center by foot, perfect to visit camb and enjoy lot of pubs !
Graham was extremely pleasant and accommodating. His house is a short, 10-15 minute, walk from the main attractions of Cambridge in a quiet neighbourhood. The bed was extremely comfortable which made it too easy to sleep in. I recommend.
