Bus to Siena center every hour (less on sundays and holidays)
Bice was absolutely wonderful host. Very accommodating on our arrival time changing. She helped us get settled. Her family lives all around the flat so you know if there are major problems you can go to see them. The view was absolutely spectacular! We will be back!
We toured Italy for 2 weeks and stayed in urban areas on every leg except when we traveled near Siena and stayed in this charming farm house. Bice was not able to greet us when we arrive so her mother stepped in and showed us to our room and then offered to drive us into town for a tour of the village of San Rocca A Pilli. The tour only took around 5 minutes but her mother Anna Maria was so kind and welcoming to us that we new we were at a good place. The accommodations are very simple yet authentic with all the modern amenities you need such as a fully functioning kitchen, clean bathrooms and ample living space. There is a massive functioning fireplace in the kitchen that adds to the charm but there is a strong smell of the fireplace when you are in the kitchen that does not exist in the bedrooms or bathroom. The bed linens and towels were made from the highest quality in all our travels around Italy and there are very small artistic touches throughout the apartment. The bus service to and from Siena was very reliable with the stop to arrive located near the main house/villa and the stop to return to Siena located down the drive from the apartment.
Bice was great and welcoming, provided help in getting around and where we could go from where we were. The farm is beautiful and in such a great setting to walk into the little town there for dinner, or head into Siena. The apartment itself was really good size and comfortable for our family of 4, and the building itself is beautiful - old, authentic, with a giant fireplace in the kitchen space (which we didn't have a chance to use). The finishings are a little dated - water heater is older, shower is small, etc. But overall, great value, great setting, great host.
What a magical experience! We had the pleasure of being greeted by a very attentive Bice and her delightful Mum. The farmhouse was everything we hoped for and set the scene for a true Toscana experience. A real farmhouse, very comfortable and clean. The running tracks and roads provided us with many challenges and also unforgettable views. The location enabled us to visit many hilltop towns,Siena and Firenze with ease in our rent a car. I will certainly be telling my friends in Australia to stay here and undoubtably we will return. Thank you Bice,Maria-Anna and Pietro and the gentleman ( sorry, can't recall his name) who came a fixed our problems and made us very comfortable.
Our hosts were very helpful and welcoming. The farmhouse was comfortable, and in a fantastic location with a bus stop to Siena at the front gate. The town 'San Rocco A Pilli' is just a few minutes walk away, with all the facilities one might need. The 'Buon Sapore' restaurant really worth a visit. We will definitely recommend your accommodation to friends. Thank you Berenice.

Thank you Bice! We had the most amazing few days, we wished it was longer! We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment and it had everything we could want. San Rocco is an easy walk away for supplies. There is a bigger supermarket in the nearby town of Rosia if you need extra supplies. We did a shop at Siena train station before we got to the apartment. Bice organised a taxi to and from Siena train station so you really don't need to drive, if you don't have a car. We recommend hiring a bike to ride around the Tuscan countryside, it was absolutely beautiful! Bice's mum gave us some great tips of places to ride to. The apartment was so lovely, just a wonderful place to relax and unwind! Clean, quiet and really spacious; just a really peaceful space! Bice was a wonderful host and we loved chatting to her and her mum; they are such welcoming and caring hosts! This was one of the best experiences, thank you so much Bice and family! We hope we can meet again! Love Emily and Hayley xx
