Interaction with Guests
We encourage guests and locals to share experiences, tell stories, have meaningful conversations, dinner and fun together.
We believe Trastevere is simply the best part of town.
According to Wikipedia though, Trastevere maintains its ancient character thanks to its narrow cobbled streets lined by medieval houses.
At night, locals and tourists alike flock to its many bars and restaurants.
The unique vibe of this neighbourhood has attracted artists, foreign expats, and many famous people. In the sixties and seventies, the American musicians/composers Frederic Rzewski and Richard Teitelbaum, from the group Musica Elettronica Viva, lived in Via della Luce. Sergio Leone, the director of many Spaghetti Western movies, grew up in Viale Glorioso (where the house is) there is a marble plaque to his memory on the wall of the apartment building. Ennio Morricone, the film music composer, went to the same school, and for one year he attended the same classes as Sergio Leone did.
The neighbourhood is in the very city center. It's walking distance to all the main landmarks and attractions. Surrounded by bars and restaurants that serve the best food in the country. Even though there are buses and trams you can catch to get from A to B, we truly recommend walking while admiring beauty, art and history.
- BE VERY RESPECTFUL OF OUR NEIGHBOURS.
If they get mad at us, we’re going to have problems keeping our project alive. Use common sense and don’t do anything you think might bother them.
- PLEASE DO NOT WEAR HEELS OR ANY SORT OF NOISY SHOES when you walk around the house. Especially at night. This is an old apartment. Our floor is not very rich. People living below us can hear everything.
- DON’T BE LOUD ON THE STAIRS. It takes 30 seconds to get to the front door to our apartment. Please keep it extremely quite as you’re doing so. Especially at night.
- TAKE A SECOND TO MEMORIZE OUR APARTMENT’S DOOR, so that you won’t have problems coming back home. This will also prevent any accidental attempts of breaking into our neighbours’ houses. They might not like that.
- HELP US KEEP THE HOUSE CLEAN by leaving no trace of your activities.
- RECYCLING IS A SERIOUS DEAL IN THIS NEIGHBOURHOOD. Please be very careful picking the right can when you dispose of your trash. There is no way we can get rid of it otherwise. Just read the labels.
- KEEP THE NOISE DOWN AFTER 10 PM.
Be aware that other roommates might be asleep as well as the rest of the building.
Very great! Ernesto was very helpful and gave us a great description of Rome. Beautiful home and very clean room.
Definitely will stay again whenever I visit Rome again! Nice size room only 4 beds as in picture. Nice bathroom, kitchen and livingroom. More than I expected! Safe area, building and strong wifi. Everything is walking distance if you like walking like me.
Had a really great time at Ernesto's place - location is perfect: just outside of the (touristy) busy city centre and close to little bars and restaurants. We considered everything to be in walking distance, but the tram pretty much passes his place if you'd prefer. He also gave us a map with local places to get food, ATMs etc. and sat done with us when we arrived to answer all our other questions. All in all: superb! Oh, and Ernesto: thanks for Easter Sunday!
A great place to stay in the heart of rome which really feels like home. Ernesto and his flatmates were very kind and easy going. Anytime again!
Alles wunderbar, Ernesto ist immer da wenn man etwas braucht, die Nachbarschaft und das Gebäude waren sehr schön !!
