Our house is a typical Swedish red-white painted wooden cottage on the sunny side of a wide, scenic valley. Here you can relax and enjoy the view of fields and meadows from the breakfast table. The nearby lake is ideal for swimming and fishing. Walks, bike tours and hikes in the vicinity and further afield will allow you to explore the Swedish nature with its forests, bogs, rivers and lakes.

The space
The house is cozy and lovingly furnished. On the ground floor are kitchen, bedroom, bathroom with shower/WC and behind the kitchen, separated by a curtain, another small Room with a sofa. On the upper floor there is an open living area with TV (also with German channels). There is also the separate bedroom with double bed. The large meadow at the house is available for all kinds of games, sun loungers, garden furniture and barbecue or barbecue area are available.

Where you’ll be

Gräs, Varmland County, Sweden

The house is located in the scattered settlement of the village of Gräs, which runs along the shores of the kilometer-long Gräs lake. About 600 m away from the house you can swim and fish on the lakeshore of the Grässjön. Other fishing lakes and bathing spots are nearby. Golfers have 4 different courses to choose from within a radius of about 50 km. You can explore Swedish nature, collect blueberries and mushrooms on hikes nearby or with a little drive in the nature reserve Bradforsheden. Historical traces of iron ore extraction can be found in many places. You can learn more at the Museeum in Munkfors. By bike you can reach the nearest shopping area in the small town of Sunnemo with its old wooden church. Larger shops can be found in Munkfors and Hagfors, about 30 km away. Those who like cycling will find the opportunity to do so, for example on the Klarälvsbanan, a cycle route along the Klarälven river from Munkfors to Karlstad, the capital of the Värmland.
