Sadly due to illness we didn't make it to dales shepherd hut! but he was an absolute delight to speak to on the phone and I am hopeful we will get to stay in one of his lovely huts some other time!
I had such a fantastic stay at St. Ives, thank you so much Dale for everything (: The hut was decorated really prettily and was well kitted out, from tea and coffee to even speakers for music! A nice little heater made it all warm and cozy, and great for staying in to chill if you didn't feel like going out. The view from the window was so incredibly beautiful as well, felt very lucky to wake up to that! Dale's also a really fun guy to hang out with, very welcoming and thoughtful, going the extra mile when I least expected it. He was also super accommodating with the arrival/departure times. Dale was really great at making sure I was okay both with the huts and during the surfing experience. Thanks Dale for the unforgettable experience! Will definitely be back when I get the chance! (:
We had such a fantastic weekend in St Ives and Dale’s Shepherd’s hut was a highlight, and probably one of the cosiest things I’ve ever experience in my life. Lovely and clean and warm and well kitted-out, with stunning views out across the fields and the sea in the distance. Dale is a wonderful welcoming host and made sure we had everything we needed, including firewood and surfing advice. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to have a bit of an outdoorsy adventure but without the damp flimsiness of a tent. We’ll be back!
Dale was a fantastic host and very welcoming.
The place is magical and the hut we were given was STUNNING and warm with some lovely touches.
Dale has put a lot of effort into making this a truly unique experience that will linger long in the memory and all for good reasons. Lovely touches in the toilet and shower block and great fun cooking in the kitchen shack at breakfast.
A beautiful 20 minute stroll into St Ives each day and a £7 taxi back took the headache out of parking as well.
Top spot. Top accommodation. Top bloke!
We will DEFINITELY be coming back!
We had such a fab time in St ives! The Huts were beautiful, we didn't have the best weather, but it didn't matter they were so cozy, very clean and felt lovely to spend time in, we got to sit outside the hut one night watching the sun go down with a beer which was lush! Dale was lovely and was always on hand to help! I loved the toilets and shower rooms they just added to the experience!
We will be back for sure!! ☺️
Good places we ate were..
The beach restaurant
Pasta cafe and Pizzeria
And have a lush pasty at Phillips
We absolutely loved st. Ives it was very windy during our stay so the hut felt extra cosy. Having a car made it easy to explore the countryside. The shower and toilet facilities were small and simple but clean. The little heater worked a treat in the hut.
Amazing experience! This is one-of-a-kind hut up on spacious and peaceful hill with beautiful scenery really refreshing. 20 minutes nice walk to town with cute little lanes and white sandy beaches. Dale wasn't there, but his parents couldn't be more lovely. Really friendly, helpful and warm. They gave me a couple of fresh eggs, butter and bread for my breakfast even tho it's not included. And also a freshly baked scone before I left. Would definitely go back one day!
