Beautiful contemporary 3 bedroom 3-1/2 bathrooms 2 story home with large roof terraza, garden and pool right in the middle of San Miguel, minutes away from town center, restaurants and bars. Property manager runs a dive shop! Beaches 10 minutes away, walking distance from supermaket.
I stayed in this house for the last five nights of 2014, with my wife, and two boys, ages 12 and 15.
The house itself is new, probably built in 2012 or 2013.
The floorplan was excellent. The architects clearly spent a lot of time thinking through how to lay out the rooms.
I liked that the space was filled with light, and that air circulated well throughout the home.
I particulary liked that each of three bedrooms had very comfortable beds, as well as some private out door space.
Like the rest of the house, the kitchen was well thought out, and very modern.
We ate one of the delicious papayas growing in the front yard.
After booking the facility, Susan spoke with me on the phone and described both her home and things to do in Cozumel.
Even better than the home was the manager, Karen, who lives across the street.
Karen saw to it that we had what we needed.
She coordinated with us around arrival and departure, and made sure both were smooth.
She also explained how everything in the house worked.
Though she recommended that we rent a car, ultimately, we chose not to because cabs on the island are plentiful and
inexpensive. They can, however, be difficult to arrange, and for that Karen was most helpful in arranging taxis.
Karen was available, responsive, helpful, and kind.
Karen and her husband, Riccardo, also own a diving instruction business. My family was more interested in snorkelling, and so
we arranged for Riccardo to take us out snorkelling for three days, on a private boat. Riccardo is a marine biologist with over 20 years of experience. The clear waters and vibrant coral reefs in Cozumel make it one of the best places on the planet to dive. The combination of amazing location with fantastic personalized instruction and explanations made this a truly fantastic experience.
Thank you Susan, Karen, and Riccardo for sharing with us in a fantastic experience.
Took a chance based on photos and it was even more beautiful than described: a calm, white, modern oasis in a town of crumbling concrete. Even during a few very rainy days the six of us were able to stay in and not go crazy; the house is full of light and space, and the grill was essential for cooking! Not close to downtown tourist sites; this is the place to be if you want to wander and explore local cantinas and restaurants, and we took Zumba classes at Dance Sport, ate empanadas at El Paste, enjoying our contact with the "real" town and not the Señor Frog one. I recommend getting a car or a Jeep for a few days, to wander the island. I took a chance, and it paid off wonderfully. Thank you Susanne!
On Cozumel we wanted a beautiful, private, relaxing location and Casa Cielito was perfect. Loads of room, everything new, safe & secure, great rooftop view, private pool, good kitchen & poolside grill with outdoor dining. Thank you. Mark, DC
I was born in Germany, moved to Paris, France and from there after 7 1/2 years to Houston, that was in 1992. Many things I love above all animals, among the most important creatures in my life are my two horses and my dog. Trail riding my paint is the best thing, I love to cook always have and apparently people love my meals. Always been into sports, skiing, swimming, weight lifting, yoga, scuba diving, walking, tennis, and a few other activities. I am fluent in three languages and am working on my 4th and probably last, Spanish thanks to Cozumel. Traveling has always been extremely important to me, we have a beautiful planet and many many things to see and experience. Cozumel is like a paradise to me, the people are so nice and friendly, and I love the fact, that there is so much nature on the island!!!
